A couple days later my dad had indeed made plans to leave for awhile and continue his life long dream of hockey. I was going with him, even though I didn't want to go. I wasn't mad at him or anything, just upset for leaving my childhood place for awhile because I've never really left my hometown before, but I guess a new adventure awaits everyone, guess this is mine.

We stood outside, all the Ducks in a line taking each their turns to say goodbye to my father. None of them knew who I really was and they all just assumed I was heading back to my old town where I live. Because my dad told them all that  I was his cousin's kid and all. So I'm apparently going back to New Jersey, which is where my dad's cousin lives and actually lives alone.

Adam was here today, it kinda made me perk up that my bestfriend was here. I was at the other end of the line while Adam was near the far end with Charlie and his mom, and where my father will end the line. I didn't mind that I was here, my bag was in the bus, along with my dad's and my small entertainement bag was on the bus on my seat.

After everyone said goodbye to my dad and Adam quickly said something, he ran behind everyone and stood behind me. Punching my shoulder lightly as he laughs and says my name. "Kyles," I turn and face him as the boys beside us are fooling around saying things that make absolutly no sense. "remember me?"

I nod, "I'll never forget my best friend, Adam," His face lit up and a smile grew on his face. I was just happy that my best friend was okay after a blow to the neck which his mother didn't let him play hockey and won't let him play for a little while until it heals up. My father would do the exact same if he found out, in fact, I've never really had an injury and I'm sure they'll be one to come in the future someday for me. "See you 'round sometime, Banksie," I say and punch his shoulder as I run down the sidewalk behind everyone. I stop at the other ened where my dad was kissing Charlie's mom, once again and Charlie's face just light up to no end.

"I didn't know Coach was dating someone," Adam remarks.

"Neither did I, Pal," He nods. Coach yells out a goodbye to everyone and I say bye to Banks and then hop on the bus before my dad. He enters the bus, the door shuts and I walk to where our seats were and took my seat. There wasn't many people on the bus so my dad took a row to himself which was two seats and I took a row jsut across from him which was two chairs as well. I was small enough to fit on the entire chair and sleep still. Though I;d stick my feet either on my dad's chair or on the chair in front of me in the air, or the slight possibility of keeping them on the floor.

My dad runs to the front of the bus and has the guy open the door, "Don't forget, I'll be back,  we got a title to defend!" He yells out and the door shuts as everyone else outside jumps up and down cheering. I roll my eyes playfully and take my seat, looking out the window as the bus pulls out of the lot to get on to the highway and to where we need to go.

We were going to Wadena, Minnesota, which is about three hours from here, but with how slow buses can be, it'll be three and a half, maybe four. I sat quietly in my seat until my dad started talking to me. "So, are you staying in hockey while we're in our new place?"

I nod, "Of course, I gotta practice in the off season, if you'll let me,"

"All right then," He was writing stuff down on a paper and what not. He said he'd have me enrolled in a school by tonight when we get to our new place so I can start in about a week's time. He said he spend time with me for a little while we're there because he hasn't gotten much on his hands to spend with me because those Conways have been taking that time.

I soon fell asleep because I was tired of looking out the window and dad was talking to me about something he did in the courtroom. He jus told the same courtroom stories to me over and over again, so I got bored and crashed completely. I had put my hoodie over my head  closed my eyes, falling asleep after twenty minutes of just laying there because with all noise, I couldn't sleep well.
