I nibbled on the food that Abby snickered over, I felt a lump in my throats as my gag reflex began to take effect. Oysters. I hate oysters... in fact i barfed all over my second grade crush when he offered me one to try. Abby brought us some garlic bread and I shoved like 4 pieces in my mouth all at once (they were about the size of a mouse). That's better.

Hayley let out a weird little laugh and took the last piece of garlic bread. Oops. She bit into it and chewed it savoring the taste. She sat the bread on her plate and look up to me raising a brow. "That's how you eat Ivy, you'll understand someday." Hayley teased in a tone you'd use when talking to a baby. I rolled my eyes and hit her arm.
"Hah hah" I said sarcastically. Abby came back once more with out large cheese pizza and two sodas. I took a bite of the pizza and my insides melted. What is this wizardry? I loved it. "I think I love this pizza more then you do Hayzel" I teased taking another large bite. She made puppy dog eyes as she pouted and fake sniffed.
"Meanie..." she cried in a high pitched but kind of adorable voice. I laughed and punched her arm again, she leaned back with a weird expression trying to dodge the move.

After we ate we walked to the souvenir shop just a few minutes away from the cafe. I opened the door and bell rang a sweet little jingle. The stores color pallet consisted of all different shades and tones of blue. Even the walls which were a dark blue that fell into a turquoise in a lovely ombré effect. Hayley walked to a little stand filled with outstandingly beautiful sea shells. She picked out 2 shell charms for each of us. One was a white shell painted in blue and the end near where the shell would open. It splattered out like a paint drop. The second one, which was mine, was a grey shell with a Rose painted in the middle. Leaves and thorns shoved from the side of the rose. I had chosen a dolphin good luck charm earrings. After purchased the items I slipped in the dolphin shaped gemstones into my ears.
"They look so pretty on you Ivy!" Hayley complimented.
"Thanks!" I blushed.

When we got back to the beach it was getting dark. Hayley sat in the sand with her feet in the water. "Hayley it's late..." I stated.
"I know, but I wanna watch the sunset." Hayley explained. I half smiled and sat next to her. I took her hand and put it to my chest.
"It will be all better someday Hayley. No more pain. Just traveling. Just enjoying all that we have." I declared, hope filling my eyes.
"You're so much warmer than me Ivy.. so much happier... traveling without you would just be a devastating trip of bad memories..." she sighed.
"Hayley... you deserve the universe. It's just, the universe doesn't deserve you, you're too good for it" I praised. There it was. That smile I wanted to see. The real one that was too rare. That one that I wish I could've saw everyday.
"Thanks Ivy..." Hayley glowed.
