Chapter 1

Summer camp?

Ivan's POV
Our school is organizing this stupid summer camp and we have to attend the presentation of this 'project' . Then we can decide if we really want to join it or not .
Mom thinks is a great idea , so Emilio and I can make some friends ? And 'socialize' . However , I think is not a great idea at all .
We arrived where the presentation was supposed to be held but the room is filled with teenagers walking around it and reading the papers glued to the walls .
"Uhm.. I don't think is a presentation ." Emilio said looking around the room .
"No shit Sherlock." I laughed .
The only furniture in the room was a little table with some flyers on it .
On the flyers were the rules of the camp and one of them was that only the school's students can join the camp . This means Aden and his idiots can not be around .
Maybe that's not such a bad idea .
I handled the flyer to Emilio and pointed at the rule . A small smile appeared on his face while reading it .
"If you wanna go to the camp , make sure to write your name and your parents' phone numbers on the paper right there ." Mrs. Jeminson said to us and smiled warmly .
I looked into the back of the room and saw a lot of teenagers writing their names on the list .
"Emilio , I think we should go." I said .
"Yea , I think too ." He agreed.
We waited until it was our turn to sign on the paper,and when we finally made it there and I started writing my name I 've seen something interesting.
'Talya Hale.' Was one of the names written on the list , with only one phone number attached. I'm 100% sure that Aden's last name is Hale . And there's only one phone number and that must be Aden's because like I said , their parents passed away and he's taking care of her .
I have written my name without hesitation and rushed Emilio to do the same.
Now I can't wait for the camp .

After signing for the camp I decided to call one of my friends to hang out with us . I haven't seen him in years , but he's Aden's neighbor . And now I need information about his little sister , Tanya . No , her name was Talya ? Whatever .
"Hello buddy!" I shouted and waved at my friend while he just got out of the car .
"Hello bro!" He came to me .
Emilio was looking at his phone this whole time . I rolled my eyes .
"Emilio!" I called him .
He got his out of his phone confused . He was a lot behind me .
"Hello Jake ." He finally said .
"Let's get inside ." Jake laughed and we started walking .
We ate our food and talked a lot . I did not bring up anything about Aden's sister until now .
"Aden Hale is you neighbor, right ?" I said taking a sip of my juice . Emilio already started to look tensioned.
"Yea . He's not going to be anymore . He's leaving for college ." He answered neutral . "Why?"
"Uhm . I kind of have a crush on his little sister." I lied laughing lightly.
Emilio lowkey rolled his eyes . Jake laughed .
"Bro , I don't think this is a good idea . His sister is the only person he loves and cares about ." He said , also taking a sip of his Coke . "But I have to admit that his sister is gorgeous."
Hearing that this girl is Aden's weakness made my confidence in my plan grow .
"What do you know about her ?" I asked him trying to cover my excitement about my little secret .
"Ah. She's still seventeen , I don't know when she turn eighteen . She is difficult to talk to or socialize in any way . She's a lot like her brother I think so . And her name's Talya but I assume you already know this if she's your crush ."
I took my time to process what he said and the smile on my face disappeared. So she's difficult? I did not think that this was going to be easy , but I at least hope she's not as difficult as her brother is.
"Anything else ?" Emilio breaks the silence when he sees that I'm blocked in my own thoughts.
"She is kind of weird . I sometimes see her on the roof at four in the morning . I think she sleeps the day and lives at night because during the day I literally never seen her somewhere and she's always late to school .." He said and checked his phone . "Guys I have to leave . I promised my dad to help him repair his car ." He said and we exchanged 'goodbyes' , then he left .

Emilio's POV
I don't know what my brother's thinking . We can end up dead if Aden finds out .
"Ivan , I think we should just leave this like that . It's better for everybody . This girl has no fault for what her brother's doing . And if Aden finds out.." I started talking really fast but Ivan cut me off .
"Chill. He isn't going to find out . We're just messing around a little . No troubles ." He sounded really calm . "Now let's go ."
I took the flyer out of my pocket to look for the day the camp starts . It is in a week . I showed Ivan the date .
"This is soon but don't worry . My plan's going to go perfectly bro." He said tapping my shoulder as we got out of the building.
It was already dark outside but really quiet as we walked to the car . But a loud noise disturbs the atmosphere.
Ivan turns his head so do I , observing two guys fighting. It was far enough so they couldn't see us .
"Is that Aden?" Ivan asks me and I nodded .
Yes , it was Aden .
As the two guys were fighting , a short blonde girl dressed in black gets out of the car . Aden's car .
"Aden , please .." She says crying.
"Talya get in the fucking car !" He shouts and hits the other guy .
Ivan's eyes widened.
"But Aden the boys over there are watching you." My heart stopped for a moment . She pointed at us and Aden's eyes meet mine .
