*Annabeth*
How can Leo respect Hera? She litteraly tried to kill him three or four times! My mind began to think of possible reasons. I remember him saying that she prepared him for the REAL world, not just the demigod one.
Well, maybe when he was making his way to Camp Half-Blood. No that can't be. I was the one who brought him here along with Jason and Piper. Hmm, well maybe he ran away? No, Leo doesn't seem like the type to do that. UGH!!! Why can't I figure him out? This is so...FRUSTRATING!
I felt an arm snake around my waist making me instantly melt into it. The smells of the ocean breeze and the strawberry fields filled my nostrils causing my frustration earlier become long forgotten. In the corner of my eye, Nico glared at us but then frowned and glanced back at a snoring Leo Valdez. His eyes softened for a split second, but then scowled at him. He huffed and turned his attention back on the screen.
Hmm...I wonder what was that about?
Leo nervously patted down his yellow shirt. He took a quick glance at his reflection again. His unruly dark brown hair was now somewhat tame. He wore his best clothes that didn't have any grease stains on it. He smiled proudly at the Leo in front of him.
"Not too shabby," he grinned at his own reflection and winked at it. Leo checked the time on his watch and hurriedly grabbed his 'Bob the builder' backpack which said 'Can we fix it? Yes we can!'
Piper rose her eyebrow, "How ironic."
Before he could head out, his mom grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled Leo in a huge hug. "Be good Leo. Respect your classmates and teacher. I love you" Esperanza said after letting go Leo. He grinned at her, "Always mamá! I love you too!" Leo couldn't wait for first grade!
Oh, so it's his first day in the first grade. Leo must be seven years old then.
As Leo walked towards the bus stop, he couldn't help but feel very nervous. Being social isn't one of his strongest suits and people here are more scary. He was short for his age, and Leo feared that he will get picked on.
We all rolled out eyes. "Leo...not social?" I scoffed. How can the annoying repair boy not be social. He doesn't really know when to shut up.
Leo patiently waited for about ten minutes at his stop. During the time, all he could think about were the future friends he was going to have. He couldn't wait! As he was thinking about this, he didn't even realize that his bus was right in front of him.
Oh Leo, I thought. Stupid ADHD!!
"Hey kid! Are you getting on or what?" The driver shouted at him, making Leo jump. He sheepishly apologized and entered. The only thing that was going through Leo head was, 'I didn't have any breakfast!' And that the kids in the bus most likely drank six cans of Cola and a jug of coffee. And I thought I was hyper. Although mama says I have ADHD, so that's probably why. Leo thought before sitting down at a random seat.
"Compared to those kids that are jumping up and down on the seats (lol. Don't do that btw), they even make Leo seem tame." Jason said.
*Time Skip brought to you by yours truly*
Everyone rolled their eyes.
As Leo took a nervous look around the classroom, he couldn't help but feel small compared to the other kids. Shaking that thought out of his head, he placed his bookbag inside the cubby and sat down on an empty table.
Leo watched as kids walked by, laughing and giggling at the other kids as if they knew each other their whole lives. By the time class started, no one sat next to Leo. However he didn't mind if it means he doesn't have to share the crayons.
