Fitz had no sleep that night, his mind too aware to shut down, the words swimming around his head: worthless, stupid. Instead, he laid, imagining what it was that needed to be talked about.
Soon the sun rose, and morning called. His morning routine was completed as follows: He showered and got dressed, the same old clothes that sat in his wardrobe; brushed his teeth and combed his hair; ate little breakfast, as his appetite seemed to have vanished; and met Jemma like every morning in the lab.
He didn't speak, and Jemma dared not to break the silence. It was only when a man in a black tuxedo opened the door that her managed any facial expression at all. The man held the door open for a few seconds before a tall man walked in. He was quite large, with greying- brown hair and striking blue-green eyes, just like Fitz. He too wore a tuxedo, but he seemed dominant and carried a strange weakening atmosphere around with him. When he came in, Fitz took a step back. His eyes were filled with fear, and his breath became shuddering and short. "Leopold-"
"Don't call me that." Fitz looked at Jemma, avoiding his fathers eyes. His father followed his gaze and laid eyes upon Jemma. "We haven't been introduced, I'm His father, Leopold Fitz senior." He held his hand out, but she didn't shake it, just looked him straight in the eyes. "Whatever you did, you need to go. He doesn't want you here." Fitz looked up in surprise, "Gemma, I can tell him myself," then he looked at his father, "get out."
His father began to protest, but: "get out, please just go. " Fitz father sighed, and came closer to Fitz, Jemma wanted to step in, but she couldn't, she didn't want to upset Fitz anymore. "Leopold, we must speak, alone." His father put his hand on Fitz' shoulder, and he flinched, " son, I'm not going to hit you, now get yourself in that room." He nodded to the door by the exit. Fitz did as he was told, reluctantly leaving Jemma alone.
The door was closed, but She'd listened. She could hear the stern voice of Fitz' father, and the timid, agreeing voice of Fitz. There was little that she could hear, but she heard a few words: "move...Scotland...mother..executive.... company" but it was mostly just murmurs. The murmurs turned to raised voices, and the raised voices turned to shouts. It was His father."You will come back with me!"His father yelled. Pointing his finger in Fitz' face. He's always hated his father, the way he made Fitz feel like nothing. "You have to take charge of the company Leopold." Fitz raged angrily: "I told you not to call me that and I'm not coming back to Scotland to run your bloody company," there was a brief silence, then:
His father: " it's not my company son, it's ours, and you will,"
Fitz: "I'm not ending my career here just to bloody parade about after you, I lived on your shadow too many years already, I'm not going back."
Fitz father: " you have no career Fitz, you're stuck in a school for the kids who don't get scholar ships, and I don't believe that you belong in here, you're my boy, you can do better than this, now come, we have to leave today,"Again I don't own the characters all rights are to marvel
