Chapter 24

clair's pov
2 days before the wedding.

we came back from our "vacation" and now i'm stressing over the wedding. i wanna make sure everything goes perfect.

i don't want anything to mess up. hopefully ethan isn't stressing as much as i am.

"baby you look stressed?" ethan comes into the room and lays down next to me kissing behind my ear.

"i'm not. just tired." i lied. like i said before i don't want him stressing.

"well my mom called me over to talk about the wedding so i'll be back ok baby." he says and i nod my head.

"bye babe." he pecks my lips. i wave at him and he waves back.

my mom calls me right after ethan left.

"hello?" i said.

"clair my beautiful child! the wedding is so soon! bring your dress here so it's safe and sound." my mom said.

"i guess. i'll be there." i said and hung up.

she hung up the dress in her closet. the shoes were in her closet too. she walks me over to the living room.

"i can tell you're stressing." my mom said.

"i just want everything to be perfect mom." i look down at my fingers.

"everything will be fine. just walk down the aisle, say your vows, kiss, and go on your honeymoon! that's all." she said.

"i'll hang out with cameron i guess. just to cool down." i said to my mom.

"you go do that. i'll see you tomorrow hun." my mom hugs me and i hug back.

i walk back to my car and sigh as i turn it on. i call cameron and ask if she would want to hang out at the mall. she agreed and she'll meet me there in 15.

i drive to the mall and see a familiar car parked in front of the entrance. i've seen that car somewhere but i don't remember.

i lock my car and walk pass the car.

"OMG! clair is that you!" a girl screams and i look behind me and see meredith and a guy in her car.

"meredith! long time no see." i fake smile. what the fuck does this bitch want.

"how've you been! how's ethan?" she said empathizing ethan's name.

"great yeah, weddings after tomorrow actually." i said. she nodded her head smiling.

"well congrats!" she said. the guy next to her was licking his lips and starring me down. i gave him a werid look.

"i'll be there!" she said.

"oh sorry all seats are taken for important people." i said.

"after party?" she asked.

"no after party. right after the wedding we are heading straight to aus- paris!" i said. i didn't want her to know we are going to australia for our honeymoon.

"well hello cameron!" meredith said. i look beside me and see cameron glaring at her.

"meredith." she said.

"well it was very nice seeing you guys! toodles." she giggled and drove off.

i roll my eyes.

"who the fuck says toodles?" i asked and we laughed.

me and cameron were walking around the mall. "i'm really excited to be an aunt."

"same, i'm excited to be a mom and your sister in law!" i said hugging her.

"what would you do if my parents and your parents didn't set you and ethan up together to get married?" cameron asked me as we ate our ice cream.

"to be honest. i would be at home doing nothing. whining about being single most likely." i laugh.

"are you happy our parents set you two up?" she asked.

"yeah, but ethan is a tough guy. i've been through a lot with him. we probably had one to many fights." i said.

she nodded her head. "well i'm happy that you two are happy right now. hopefully it'll stay that way."

"oh by the way you are hanging out with me and my friends tomorrow evening. it's gonna be a sleepover. it's bad luck for the bride and groom to see eachother on the wedding day." cameron said excitedly.

i laugh and agree on having a sleepover with cam and her friends.
