AN: I am so sorry this took so long! It is a little short but it's better than nothing. Hope you enjoy!

The next day, Alex woke first. Alma was curled up with Roxie beside her. She smiled as she carefully climbed out of bed. She crept out of their room and carefully into the kitchen. Raoul and Lillian were drinking coffee and chatting quietly. They both smiled as their daughter walked into the room. "Good morning", Alex said as she filled her cup with coffee. "Good morning.", they said in unison. Alex leaned against the island beside Lillian. She noticed a black box under Raoul's arm. He smiled and slid it towards her. "This is to help with your changing. Aaron suggested it.", Raoul explained as Alex reached to open it. As she opened it, her eyes scanned the odd looking necklace. The pendent matched the one she had given Alma. She looked up at Raoul confused. Lillian smiled and pulled out the necklace to put on her as he began to explain. "This necklace is made to fit like a choker. Whenever you begin to lose control or get too angry and are about to change, you will feel the necklace tighten and cause you to regain control. If you do need to change on your own will, then you will do it quick enough for it not to tighten but for it to loosen and fit your neck.", he said as Lillian adjusted it around Alex's neck. When she stepped away, Alex ran her fingers over the pendent. "It's great guys, thank you really.", Alex said as she hugged Lillian. As they pulled apart, a few gunshots rang through the air outside. Alex tensed but sprinted outside. Outside, Dakota and Daniel were standing there with a 9mm. Alex's anger bubbled. "What the hell was that? There are children and horses and my pregnant fiance here!", Alex snarled out as she stormed up to Dakota who was holding the gun. His eyes grew wide and he tossed the gun to Daniel then took off towards the trees. Alex turned towards Daniel who dropped the gun and held his hands up in defeat. "I should kick both of your asses!", Alex yelled in his face. "Darling.", Alex called from behind them. Alex picked up the gun with a growl. As she turned around, Alma hugged her hard. Alex glanced at her parents in confusion. "Darling you handled that with no problems!", Alma cried. Realization smacked Alex. She hugged Alma back. The feeling overwhelming her was indescribable. Raoul took the gun from Alex to go put it away. When they pulled apart Alma smiled up at Alex. "Do you remember what today is?", Alma asked. Alex shook her head. Alma's smile widened. "Our ultrasound.", Alma whispered. Alex picked Alma up and swung her around. Alma giggled happily. "Let's go get ready.", Alex said as she put Alma down. Alma nodded and headed inside. "Alex I want to throw a babyshower. Do you have contact information for everyone?", Lillian asked. Alex nodded. "If you go in my office, I have a purple address book full of friends.", Alex said as she headed inside after Alma. Alex hurried to get dressed and ready. Alma was doing her hair while Alex struggled to get her pants on. Roxie was tugging on the bottom of them. "Alma please get your puppy.", Alex begged as she tugged her pants from the small dog. Alma whistled softly and to Alex's amazement, the dog obeyed and sat by Alma's feet. Alex rolled her eyes and finished getting dressed. Once she was happy with her look, she walked over to Alma. "You have everyone wrapped right around your finger don't you?", Alex teased as she leaned down to kiss Alma. Alma giggled. "Well of course!", she replied. They headed down to the docks. Alex couldn't help but smile with pride. Alma hummed happily all the way to the doctor. Alex was nervous as they sat in the waiting room. Alma noticed she was tapping her foot nervously so she reached over and held her hand. Alex smiled over towards her. They knew each other so well. There were times when Alex thought this could all be a dream. The nurse came out and called them back. It was quite obvious that Alex was nervous while Alma was excited. Alex held Alma's hand as the cold gel was applied to her stomach. They tensely waited to make sure everything was okay and the baby was healthy. The nurse smiled at them. "She is healthy and is developing perfectly. Would you like to hear her heartbeat?", she asked. Alma nodded excitedly. The little boom-boom of their daughter's heart made a tear slip down Alma's cheek. Alex smiled and kissed her cheek. The nurse turned the monitor so they could see. "Here is your little girl.", The nurse said pointing at the screen. Both women beamed with pride. That was their daughter. While Alma cleaned off her stomach, the nurse handed Alex their baby's first pictures. A lump formed in her throat as she looked down at them. Alex was going to do everything for her and her brothers and sisters no matter what.
