Chapter 10:
Elena's POV:
I stand outside for a couple minutes just leaning against the car, taking in the fresh air and thinking. That box I found that day I helped Savannah clean the basement for the party we had last month came to mind. It was filled with some stuff but all I saw was a tuxedo and a wedding vow. I'm still so confused as to why it was left in the middle of the basement. If Grayson is planning to propose to Maya, why would he keep his stuff for the wedding out in the open? Also, why hasn't he proposed yet? Mmh, I guess I could ask him about it.
After a couple minutes, I was brought out of my thoughts when I felt drops of rain fall against my skin. I thought I could stay out for a bit longer since the rain was so calm, but it ended up pouring hard within seconds.
"Great," I mumble before getting back into the car.
I sit in the car listening to the rain as I wait for Grayson and whoever he's bringing to come get me.
I began to close my eyes due to how tired I was feeling. I tried so hard to not fall asleep the way here.
I shut my eyes and just sit there for a few minutes before I hear a loud beeping that caused me to jump in my seat.
"Jeez," I mumble and look out the window to see Ethan and Grayson sitting next to him.
I roll down my window and so does he.
"FOLLOW ME," he yelled over the rain. I nod and roll up my window again. I watch as he drives straight down the road. I see that he doesn't make a curve but he literally goes straight into the trees. That's when I saw there was a path, but I wouldn't have seen it if it weren't for Ethan's headlights.
I follow him through the trees for a couple minutes until we get to the cottage. FINALLY!
I park Maya's car off to the side and get out of the car. I quickly head to the trunk and open it. I grab my suitcase, shut the trunk, lock the car and run inside.
Although I was only outside for 20 seconds, I'm still soaked and freezing.
I see Maya, Evan, and Ava asleep on the couch and Ethan throwing his keys onto the counter before walking upstairs.
Of course, he's mad at me, he's with Palmer...
"C'mon, I'll show you to your room," Grayson says before wrapping a towel around me. He grabs my bag and walks up the stairs. I follow behind him and he leads me up to a room that has a bunk bed and a single bed. "This is the room that you'll be sharing with Ava and Savannah," Grayson says and sets my bag down. "Thanks," I say. He gives me a smile before turning around to exit the room.
"Grayson," I say before he leaves causing him to turn around. "Yeah?" "Are you gonna propose to Maya?" I ask. "Oh uh... I don't know. Hopefully one day," he says. "Why?" he asks. "Last month, I saw a box in the middle of the basement and I saw a tuxedo and wedding vows in a box. I kinda forgot about it so I never mentioned it until now." "Oh, well... yeah... that's not mine- uhm," he says nervously. "Oh, well then whose is-" "Goodnight, Elena," Grayson says quickly cutting me off before leaving the room. Okay??

Saturday 8:30 A.M.
I walk downstairs and into the kitchen to see everyone awake and sitting at the table.
"Morning," I mumble and take a seat next to Maya. "Finally you're awake," she responds and puts three pancakes onto my plate. "So, what are we doing today?" I ask. "Palmer is taking us on her boat!" Ava cheered. "Oh, you have a boating licenses?" I ask her. "No, but my dad taught me everything I need to know," she responds. There's no way I'm getting on a boat with her if she doesn't have licenses. "Plus, Ethan and Grayson have their boating licenses," she adds. "Oh," I say.
