Chapter 14: An EVEN Closer call...

This picture isn't their current selves, at this point Jesse's hair has been dyed. Just saying. Also, this chapter is longer than most of my others, so I hope you enjoy!

Jesse and Parker were having enough trouble with not getting found out in the house, so, going out in public was even harder than they'd imagined. They had no idea what was to come.

Parker came in early today, expecting the usual, but, Jesse was acting rather strange that day...

"Hey Jess" Parker leaned in to kiss Jesse on the cheek, but, he shied away slightly.

Parker knew something was wrong, almost instantly.

"Jesse, what's up? Is something wrong?"

Jesse couldn't look at Parker directly in the eye. Something was wrong, but he didn't want to tell Parker, because he thought might hurt him.

"Jesse..." Parker continued.

"I'm just ...not in the f*cking mood." Jesse lied.

"Um, ok..." Parker didn't believe a word,"Let's get some filming done."

After filming and editing some short footage, Jesse simply wanted to relax, though Parker had other ideas.

"Jesse..." Parker moved forwards to touch Jesse's shoulders, who shifted uncomfortably on his bed. 

"What's wrong? You can tell me..." He went in to kiss Jesse, but he stood up abruptly.

Finally, Parker couldn't take it.

"What the f*ck Jesse!" Parker stood up too now,"What happened that you barely want to shake my f*cking hand?"

After a moment, Jesse turned to face Parker.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled.

"What?" Parker looked at Jesse, surprised.

"I've just been kinda...paranoid...cos I've been thinking about all the close calls, the anonymous messenger...i feel guilty sometimes too...so I've been a little distant I guess..."

Grabbing Jesse's hands, his angry expression fading, Parker sighed,"Oh...it's ok Jess, I get it. Putting up with all this shit is SO hard...no wonder."

"You aren't mad anymore?" Grumbled Jesse in a low voice.

"It's fine, honestly"

Then, pulling Parker closer, Jesse clasped his hands around Parker's waist.

"I'll make it up to you, I promise."

Surely enough, about a week later, Jesse fulfilled his promise to make it up to Parker for his coldness. Sadly, it didn't go to plan. At all.

Meet me in the woods behind the house, I have a surprise for you❤

Parker read the text and smiled to himself.

He wondered what type of surprise it would be, would he need to wear something nice?

Eventually, he figured it wouldn't really matter and texted back.

Be there soon babe❤❤

Oh, ur calling me babe now.😂 i kinda like it.

Jesse texted back, grinning to himself.

Yeahh, I guess I am😂 see u in a little while then.

After getting ready, Parker set off, excited to see what Jesse had planned.
