Best Thing I Never Had

Niall's POV

Words could not describe how happy I was.

It sounds selfish I know but I'm so happy she's finally mine because now I can treat her right and make sure she doesn't get hurt.

I woke up and turned around to see what time it was. It was 10.14am and I had an interview at HMV. I turned around again and Phoebe wasn't there so I wandered into the little kitchenette and saw Phoebe flipping pancakes. "Were you hungry?" I asked her. "No, but I knew you would be. You had a text at about 9.00am so I read it and it was a reminder about the interview at HMV. I then thought It'd be nice to leave you in bed a little longer and make your breakfast. Sorry for being nosey." She explained smiling. "It's fine. Thank you for breakfast. The interview is here in London so as soon as I've done I'll make it look like I've gone home but I'll come here like I promised." I said. She smiled a dazzling smile. "Sounds like a plan. I have only £50 (about $83.23 dollars) left so I'll be staying in here all day." She explained. "Okay princess. I'll finish up breakfast and then I'll leave because I'm all ready ready. The interview will be about an hour so I should be back around 11.30am." I said. "Okay, hurry back because I'll miss you." She said.

I gave her a hug and a long sweet kiss on the lips before leaving for the interview. This will be interesting as the boys had no idea where I went. "Bro, where've you been?" Louis asked me. "I figured since all our interviews are in London I would rent out a hotel room for this week." I said. "So, we can come and hang out there after the interview?" Liam asked me. I glared at him. "No, you can't because I said it'd be just me and there'd be no noise." I said trying to get off the conversation. "What a load of bull. Come in the back and tell me the truth." Zayn said. I followed him into a back room of HMV. "So..." He started. "I'm staying at the Premier Inn with Phoebe. She called me last night and asked if I would stay with her this week. She was crying down the phone. She needed me. Liam's gone to far Zayn, he's ripped her heart apart. I love her and I hate seeing her sad. That's why she's my princess." I explained to Zayn. "You're dating Liam's Phoebe?!" He screamed at me. "Shut up! They'll hear you! She cam here to get away from him! She isn't his anymore! She hate him!" I screamed at Zayn. "As much as I want to Niall, I can't keep this from the boys." Zayn said. We walked back into the interview room to see the interview had started.

Liam and the boys glared at me through the whole interview. "So what's this about Phoebe in London right now?!" Harry yelled at me. "You boys are so nosey! She ran away! Literally! She ran for ten hours straight to get away from Liam! She hates him! He's slowly killing her inside! I'm not even exaggerating! Boys she doesn't want to stay, she cries all the time. She said last night was the first time she'd smiled since she left Liam. She said she loved me. Liam you don't even know how much you hurt her. She doesn't want to back. Phoebe thinks she's in our way all the time. She doesn't want to be near us. It's all Liam's fault." I explained they all looked at Liam and looked guilty. "And you...don't even look like that." I hissed at Liam. "I'm going back to Phoebe because I keep my promises. Don't follow me any of you. I'm clearly the only one who cares here. That's why she's my princess!" I yelled before walking towards the door. "You're dating Phoebe?" Louis asked. "Yeah, because believe it or not I actually love that girl unlike someone here who thinks she's a toy without feelings!" I yelled pointing at Liam. "I love her too!" Liam said. "So much that you've cheated on her in front of her own eyes!" I yelled at him. "I DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS THERE!!!" He screamed at me. "That doesn't make it okay Liam." Zayn said. "Do you know what! I'm going back to Phoebe! Fuck you all!" I yelled storming out the door and running down to my car.

Louis' POV

Liam was such a dick! We finally had a decent girl on board but Liam goes and breaks her heart twice. "I'm going to get her back." Liam said. I grabbed him and pulled him back. "No, Liam. You've hurt her enough. I think you should leave her alone." I said to him. "No! She's mine not Niall's!" He yelled starting to cry. "I need her." He said sobbing. I hated seeing him cry. "She needs you out of her life right now." I said trying to calm him. "I'll take you to her tomorrow. She's at the Premier Inn." I said. "I want to see my baby now." He said crying harder.

Niall's POV

I opened the hotel room to hear Phoebe singing 'Best Thing I Never Had' by Beyoncé. She has a beautiful voice. I thought to myself. I got out my phone and videoed her singing and sent it to Zayn: *Check out my princess singing! She's amazing x* About a minute later my phone buzzed. *Amazing! Can me and the boys come see her? x* He wanted to come see her but I didn't know.

I slammed the door so she knew I was home. She ran into the living area and gave me a squeezy hug. "Hi princess." I said as I kissed her. She smiled through the kiss. "I liked your singing." I said winking at her. She started blushing. "Oh you heard that?" She asked. "Yep, so I was wondering if the boys minus Liam could come and see you?" I asked her. "Sure!" She said smiling. I carried her to the sofa. She giggled. "I love you princess." I said. "I love you too prince. Thank you for saving me. You're my hero." She giggled. "Come here." I said pulling her onto my lap and kissing her passionately. The heated kiss was broken by the sound of the door closing. We both looked up to see the boys stood there smirking. I looked down at Phoebe and her cheeks were scarlet. "I didn't know you had it in you Nialler." Louis said still smirking. "Louis!" She yelled at him.

The boys walked over to join us on the sofa to reveal Liam stood timidly against the door. "Ni, in here a minute." She said pulling me over to the bedroom. "I didn't think Liam was gonna be here?" She asked. "Neither did I." I said. We walked back into the living room hand in hand. "Just Dance boys?" She asked the boys. They started cheering. She turned on the game. "I'm gonna beat your ass!" Louis exclaimed. "The Sassmaster should go first!" He shouted. We all started laughing. "Two things: A: I'm a girl Louis, and B: It's my game so I'll go first." Phoebe said sticking her tongue out at Louis. He returned the gesture. Phoebe was choosing her song when Liam spoke up from the door. "Hi Phoebe." He said. She completely ignored him and carried on looking for a song. Our single 'What Makes You Beautiful' had been out for a month and was featured on the new Just Dance game. Phoebe chose it and all the boys cheered. Even Liam. She started dancing and did all the moves perfectly. She got 100%. She walked over to me and bit her lip. She was teasing me now.

Liam's POV

I stood by the door and watched her dance to our single. She looked perfect. She got 100% and I saw when she walked back over to Niall she bit her lip. She was meaning to tease Niall but she was teasing me also. I needed her back. I just can't imagine my life without her. Why was I such an idiot? She was hurt enough by her mom dying, getting cancer, being abused by her dad and now she dealt with me being an absolute arsehole cheating on her twice and calling her rude stuff. When I said the stuff and did the stuff I did I wasn't even drunk. I was purely just being a dick and I felt terrible.
