4 || First Day

"Someone's really excited for the first day ha. May i know the reason?" Mum asked as she got inside the kitchen and turned on the cattle. I was smiling all along so she guessed it there might be some reason.

"Nothing really mum." I lied. As if she can't catch my lying. I'm real bad at it. At least in front of mum.

"You know you're bad at lying still you do." She shook her head.

"Ok so. Liam is gonna be there." I said enthusiastically. The way dean talks about waffles, same i did. I'm sure as hell that i looked total idiot. But it was mum who knew it all so.

"Liam? That guy from your high school? You had a thing for him didn't you?" She looked up at me.

"I still do mum. But i don't know what he thinks about me. He saw dean with me already. So i don't know how its all gonna be with him. Like real awkward." I sighed.

"Uh. Don't worry sunshine. He seems the understanding one. You should talk openly with him to make him understand what all happened with you. Don't let him assume anything ok?" She gave a reassuring squeeze on my shoulder. I loved her gestures. Always made me feel secure.

"I love you mum." I kissed her cheeks as she flashed a warm smile.

I looked at my watch which read 8:45 a.m.

"Fuck I'm gonna get late. I need to run bye mum." I freaked out as i ran upstairs to see dean last time before i leave.

"Language love. Don't curse around the house." mum complained.

"Hey bub. Wakey wakey." i went closer to him as he was fast asleep. i nudged his arms and he responded with groan.

"Bub say Good luck to daddy so he can leave. It's his first day and he wants his baby boy's wishes. Common bub wakey now." I whispered in his ears. He slapped on my face with his little palms.

"Ouch."

"Good luvvck daddy." He giggled as he placed a kiss on the cheek where he slapped seconds before.

"I love you. Will see you in the evening. Don't be hard on Nana okay?"

"Wokay." and with this he turned on his back and fell asleep in seconds.

I ran downstairs and kissed mum's cheeks before heading to get on my bike.

"Where's the new lad? What was his name?" I heard Mark asking about me. shit i was late on very first day. This is how i start my new job and lose it on first day. Good job zayn.

"here.. Here i am." I ran over to him stumbling onto my feet but made it there without falling.

"5 minutes late zayn." he said with intimidating look in his eyes. Ok i was scared. for two reasons.

1) i don't wanna get punished in front of liam
2) its last chance of me for this job. Can't afford to lose it until i found good one.

"I'm.. So.. Sorry." I stuttered a bit.

"It's alright. Don't get late again yeah? It was first day so i kinda forgive you." Whoa he isn't an ass. Quite good according to me.

"Get inside and change. Liam show him the kitchen and rest room to change into uniform." He ordered liam.

I looked up at Li with a warm smile which he returned. Mark walked away and Liam took me inside the kitchen. It was quite organized. Dark brown paint on the walls and bricks structure design. There was a rest room for workers behind the kitchen. This is what liam told me.
