Now, I'm certainly not an expert, and not a professional, these are simply just tips that may or may not help you.
1. Grammar, Literature, punctuation.
Now, as an author, this is a very important thing. You do not see real authors who sell books have bad grammar and punctuation, do you?
No.
When writing, it's best to read over your work to make sure there aren't any grammatical mistakes. Good spelling is needed, too.
Say you're making a good fantasy book people would like to read based on the description, but when they read it, they figure out you aren't literate. What happens then?
As a person who respects proper grammar, it irritates me so much when people don't use grammar. It hurts my brain. You didn't go to school to just waste all the information the next day.
If you want to be a successful author, the first step is patience, and grammar. At least it is in my book.2. Spelling, vocabulary, and details.
Well, details aren't required for a good book, but it would be nice to see: "Mia ran through the forest at a high pace, twigs and tree branches scratching at her uncut skin, a little bit of blood dripping from her arms and legs. Mia kept going, not stopping for her life, occasionally looking behind her, even though her soft skin was getting torn, she carried on until she saw a small cottage surrounded by tall trees and bushes. Mia stopped walking, and panted, but walked towards the door of the cottage, placing her hand on the door knob, she gently opened the door." Instead of "Mia ran through the forest quickly, and got cuts all over her, then she found a house and went in." Now, vocabulary. A huge vocabulary isn't necessary, but sometimes it's nice to play around with different synonyms instead of using the same words, like think, you could use ponder, contemplate, etc. Spelling is obviously needed, so if you see a red line under a word, and it isn't a name, maybe try to respell it.
Anyways, that was it for this chapter!
Bye!
