-eden's pov.-

Last night was great, we stayed up until almost two am watching old movies and laughing. We played board games and twenty questions and would you rather. I even convinced Jug to show me some of his written work, about Jason and some of the other stuff about the town.

I fell asleep first, of course (how cliche right?), and when I woke up this morning Jughead was holding me, fast asleep beside me on the couch-bed, thing. The blanket was thrown off of us, onto the wired bed spring beside us.

I had the chance to make breakfast, since I woke up almost thirty minutes before we have to start getting ready. I made eggs, bacon, and toast like I planned, and Jughead woke up, slinging his arms around me while stealing a piece of bacon, still have asleep.

After we ate, got ready, and started making our way to school to complete my offical second day of school (hopefully without more surprises), Jughead hit me with the big question that I have been dreading.

"So... I like you, I think you like me, I mean this would be awkward if you don't because-- nevermind," he shakes his head, "Will you go on another date with me? A proper one this time?"

I smile, turning my head and stopping only five feet from the main doors, trying my best to ignore the people staring at us. Jughead stops too, worriedly looking at me. I take a chance and grab his face, pulling it to mine, and kissing him.

His hand presses to the curve of my back, pulling me closer to him. I feel his lips curve into a smile, making me smile. Our kiss is broken by our laughter, which didn't exactly kill the mood or encourage it.

He looks into my eyes a moment more before kissing my head and taking my hand, pulling me along with him. I follow behind him, glancing at the posters that have been hung up since yesterday, something about a talent show.

"Talent show?" I blurt, looking to Jug for more details. He glances at me before nodding, and taking a deep breath.

"One of the many events this school puts us through. Though they only do it every year because every year the Pussycats audition and every year the Pussycats win because the lead singer's mom is the mayor and she pays a lot of money to the school."

Jughead makes a face and shakes his head, making me laugh. He glances up at me from his toothpick that he was messing with, smiling lightly at me. I smile back, my laughter dying. Our moment is ruined by Veronica diving in, dragging Betty and Archie with her.

"Eden! Can you sing? You should audition for the talent show! You've heard about it, right? It's this event that happens every ye-"

Jughead cuts her off with a bored and slightly irritated tone, "She knows about it."

"Jug," I mutter, giving him that look. He huffs and looks away from us, pouting. I smile and turn back to Ronnie.

"Sure, that sounds fun."

She giggles and squeals, while Betty and Archie smile behind her. Jughead keeps a straight face, as normal, but I know he is intrigued by the look in his eye and how he looks at me. I smile at him, and he smiles back.

I love that I can smile at him, and he smiles back. Not one of those fake, forced smiles you give the lady who caught you eating grapes at the store, but a genuine, not being able to stop it smile.

"Well, auditions are today and tomorrow after school, before school, and during lunch or free periods that the auditorium is open for." Ronnie giggles, smiling at me. I smile back.
