Aurora

I'm feeling really nervous right now, since tonight is the night Jesse will finally disappear from my life.

Abel said that he'd be here in a couple of hours - 12am to be precise.

I keep checking on the time, hoping that it'll magically jump to twelve because I honestly can't wait any longer for this to happen - waiting is making me even more nervous.

It's nine o'clock now and me and Jesse have just finished eating the pizza that we've ordered.

It was hard for me to even get anything down, but I managed to since I didn't want to piss Jesse off.

Today he's actually being nice - it's making me feel guilty about what's about to happen to him, but I keep reminding myself about how much Jesse has hurt me over time and that he honestly deserves what's about to happen to him.

I feel his arms snaking around my shoulders and he pulls me closer to his body.

Forcing myself to move closer to him, I shift around on the couch until my head is resting on his chest.

"I'm sorry I haven't been around, baby," Jesse tells me, kissing the top of my head.

I bite down on my lip, trying to make sure that I don't shudder in disgust. "It's okay," I say now.

It's not like I'd want you around anyway, I think bitterly to myself.

Jesse shifts around on his seat and sits up. "I need to talk to you about something," he says.

I get up from his chest and look at him with serious eyes. "What is it?" I want to know.

"I -" he starts to say before being cut off by the doorbell. "Who the fuck is that?"

Sighing, I get up. "I'll go check," I say, feeling thankful for whoever is at the door.

"No, I'll go," Jesse says, pulling my arm back and making me sit back down on the couch.

I nod and cross my legs, putting my hands in my lap and listen as Jesse goes to the front door and opens it.

My eyes grow wide when I hear a loud thud and a groan. The door slams shut.

Heart thumping, I get up and quickly leave the living room, finding Abel standing over Jesse's body, a cloth in his hand.

"Abel?" I snap in an angry tone. "What the hell? It's not even twelve yet!"

His jaw is clenched as he looks down at Jesse's unconscious body. "I know," he mutters. "But I couldn't wait another two more hours." His eyes meet mine for a second before he quickly looks away again.

"What if people see?" I ask, starting to feel worried that the plan won't work.

"They won't," Abel mumbles, starting to scoop up Jesse's body. "Open the door."

Rushing over to the door, I open it, peeking out to see if anyone is around.

I turn to look at Abel, who is carrying Jesse over his shoulder now. "It's clear," I tell him and he nods and quickly walks out the house, hurrying to his car.
