Aurora

I step out the shower and wrap a towel around me.

I study my reflection in the mirror, seeing that my eyes are puffy and red from crying.

Wiping the remaining tears away from my face, I sniff and exhale deeply before stepping out of the bathroom.

I go to Abel's bedroom and knock on his door before pushing it open a little.

Abel's lying on his bed, only in sweatpants and typing away at his phone. He looks up and stares at me with a blank expression.

"Have you got anything I can wear?" I ask in a quiet voice, not looking him in the eye, just in case he notices that I've been crying - not like he would care anyway.

Abel nods and gets up, not saying a word. He rummages through his draw and pulls out a jumper. He walks over to me and hands it to me.

I smile sadly. "Thanks,"  I say, looking up into his eyes briefly.

I smile one more time before turning around to leave the room, only to be pulled back by Abel.

"Why are you crying?" he wants to know and I honestly just feel like grabbing him and slamming his head against the wall, even if I love him.

"Are you taking the piss?" I ask with a breathy laugh. "You're honestly asking me that question?" I shake my head and turn around again, but Abel grabs me again.

"Yes," he says seriously. "I want to know why you're crying."

"Why do you think, Abel?" I snap in a quiet voice. "You keep pushing me away. You're acting so cold towards me. At first, I didn't blame you, but now . . . can't you just forgive me?"

Abel looks at me with an expression I can't read. "Like I said before, Rora, it's hard," he says, stepping away from me and going to sit on the edge of the bed. He clasps his hands together and looks at me silently.

I bite my lip and turn around again to leave the room again. "Thanks for the shirt," I say.

"Rora," Abel calls out softly.

I turn around, looking at him with my eyebrows raised. "Yes, Abel?" I say.

"Do you want to sleep in here?" he asks, running his hand through his fluffy hair.

My heart flutters a little at his question and the breath catches in my throat.

To other people, Abel asking me if I want to sleep in his room may seem like nothing, but to me, it means everything.

I nod slowly. "Okay," I manage to say.

Abel nods and leans back against the bed again, turning his attention back to his phone.

Biting my lip, I turn around and peel the towel away from my naked body before pulling the jumper over my body.

I rake a hand through my wet, tangled hair and turn around to find Abel staring at me. "What?" I ask shyly, feeling the heat rush to my cheeks.

"Nothing," Abel replies, looking at his phone again with a little smile.

I watch as he puts his phone down and gets up, walking over to the window and looking out of it.
