I reached for a small carton of yogurt and lunged it across the small divide.

"They don't seem to make any plain yogurt like before,"

"What do you mean?"

"Well vanilla is just added sugar,"

"Did I give you vanilla?"

"Yep,"

"Oh, sorry."

There was silence. Until I spoke up.

"So how are you feeling tonight?"

"Dead."

"Oh, are you still up for that date?"

"Always will be,"

"Is Saturday good?"

"Definitely,"

I sighed, I shouldn't be up this late. Yet the teenager's at the so called "hangout" must be thinking of the exact opposite. I was supposed to meet Rosalie today at 9, it was 11 pm.

"What's wrong? You grimaced all of a sudden,"

"Do you know this place called The Red Fever?"

"Of course, I've been here for twenty years and every week there's the classic hangout!"

"Have you been?"

"Pfft are you kidding me? Not going is the reason why I'm still sane,"

"That's debatable,"

"You're going aren't you?"

"I-"

"Oh this is just great! Yeah go party with the pristine cheerleaders and the homophobic jocks I'm sure that'll raise your social status!"

"Woah why are you getting mad all of a sudden?"

"I bet kissing one of those cheerleaders would do the trick, by the time you hit school tomorrow you'll have headlines about how you made it to the top of the food chain."

"Dimitri that has nothing to do with my rep it's for a friend!"

"And that's what the burnout told the cop, I'm leaving,"

"Dimitri wait why are you so against this, it's just a party!"

"Just a party? You know how many girls get felt up above the panties? You know how many boys get beaten up for being gay? You know how many people get they're souls crushed in that disgusting house? You don't so if I were you, I would stay the hell away,"

"Dimitri stop,"

"I'm leaving, good luck getting back with a few injuries and a shot of regret,"
