"Explain to me again why they're here."

"Because if you end up trying to blow up the tower, Wanda can contain it. Plus she can help you. Pietro's just an overprotective shit."

Under the watchful eye of both the Maximoff twins and the Green Giant, Tony began wiring me up to the several machines that were scattered around the room. I commenced my series of tests to attempt to control or discover what my newfound force. We had already recognised my energy was, in fact, electricity. The power surge in London was evidence.

Bruce had presented me with a list of what possible effects it may bring me. This list includes some type of electrical healing/regeneration using some type of science shit and I could probably be striked by lightening 11 times and survive, not that I'm planning to get struck by lightening anyway.

"Okay, you're hooked up."

Stark gestured Banner and Wanda to approach him.

"Let's start with the electrical healing."

I furrowed my brows in confusion. I didn't know how to use the coffee machine - how was I supposed to do that?

"So, I'm just gonna, what, yeah, okay, lemme just."

Wanda interrupted to give her word of support.

"Close your eyes and concentrate. Try to get rid of that horrendous black eye of yours."

The brunette raised her hand to comfort her new friend.

Abruptly, the female Maximoff transferred to my blue eyed father, slapping me round the face before he shifted back to Wanda with a reassuring grin on her face.

"You'll do amazing."

"I'm sorry."

My tears pouring out as I fled out of the lab into my bedroom. I launched myself at my bed, sobbing into my pillow.

A knock at my door as a concerned Pietro peered out from behind the door.

"Are you okay, Pikachu?"

"SHUT UP YOU FUCKING BLUE HEDGEHOG."

My screams slightly muffled by my wet pillow.

"Ouch."

"Plus if you can't understand my reference, you have no right to make your own."

"Who says Sokovia doesn't have Pokemon?"

His familiar smile spreading amongst his face, creasing his blue eyelids.

"Plus, you are the baby of the group. We must look out for each other - no?"

"Yes Mum."

I sat up; the pillow was suffocating me. Gesturing him to sit down, his smile returned to his face of concern.

"What happened in there?"

I looked down, picking at the loose fibres in my sweatpants.

"Wanda became my dad. My dad hit me. Fun times."

"Screw the old man, you have a better new improved family with me in. And we wouldn't hurt you."

"That's cheesy. Stop."

A laugh escaping from my lips.

"I lost my parents when a bomb blew up my building. I used to use Stark as a scapegoat, nowadays, I like to think otherwise. It's not fun, but I still have Wanda, and now I have you to bully as well."

"Thanks a lot shitface."

We both laughed, our torsos rocking back and forth. My stomach aching from the unfamiliar feeling.

I hadn't giggle like this in ages.

He made me feel something.

He made me happy.

"You should get back to the lab, little lightbulb."

Standing up as he placed a kiss on my forehead. As he turned to leave the room, he announced the words;

"You'll be fine. I believe in you."

The butterflies having a fucking rave in my stomach as I replied with a whale of a gleam on my face;

"You're being cheesy again."
