CHAPTER 2: New Leaf 

I headed out the school doors only to be followed by one of Revens new besties Josh. "Hey Cassie wait up" he said running after me I stopped but didn't turn around my face red with anger. "What do you want Josh?" I asked through gritted teeth. "Look I'm sorry about what he did to you that was really uncalled for" he said somewhat kindly which was shocking because he was one of Revens closest friends and the old top dog of the schools younger brother. " Yeah well I'm not sorry for what I did to him and you can go tell him that and leave me the fuck alone " I growled as I started walking again quickening my pace but still heard footsteps behind me I turned and stopped facing him glaring.  

He was playing with his keys and hadn't noticed me stop and bumped into me I fell backwards and to the ground I looked up at him and expected to see a smirk but instead he looked almost worried. "Great now you're gonna think I did that on purpose .... But I didn't you know?" he said quietly reaching his hand out to help me up. I shook my head and stood on my own "well didn't you, I thought you and your friends were all out to get me for some stupid reason... maybe because you've all made my life hell for ever but especially the last four years" I screamed as I dusted myself off " he grabbed my arm and held it gently " I really didn't mean to Cassie I..... I actually came out here to see if you wanted a ride home... I felt bad about what he did." He mumbled looking into my eyes. 

" look I don't want a ride from you or any of your stupid friends just leave me alone" I said tearing my arm away from his grasp and started to walk away " please Cass just let me give you a ride" I sighed assuming he wouldn't be going anywhere unless I agreed. "Fine but I choose the tunes and sit in the back I don't want you claiming you slept with me or nothin' " I said huffing and crossing my arms over my chest presumably angrily but really I was just hiding my large bosom. " Fine now come on before it starts raining" he said and I looked instantly at the clear blue sky " ummm Josh it's not even cloudy there's no way its gonna....." I was cut off by a loud thunder crack making me jump, I hate storms more than anything... love the rain hate the thunder and lightning.  

Soon was drenched in a sudden downpour " well at least the milk is out of my hair" I said as my hair hugged my scalp now. I quickly followed him to his car feeling chilled from being so wet. When we go to his car he opened my door and let me in first seeing as every like ten seconds when the thunder would roll I would jump ten feet in the air. " th...thanks" I said through chattering teeth. He climbed in and turned up the heat to full aiming the vents mostly towards me even tho he too was drenched from the rain. " no problem ... now where am I taking you exactly" he asked pulling out of his stall and heading to the exit. I gave him the directions to my house and he laughed " seriously you live right next to him and he never mentioned it wow" he said thinking out loud i assumed anyways seeing as i was now basically a ball on the back seat of his car almost in tears from the storm.  

His driving actually wasn't that bad it was fast but not crazy my kinda driving. I stayed in my ball till the car stopped outside my house I was shivering cold from the wetness and out of fear. Josh got out of the car when I didn't make a move to get out of the car, he opened the door on the other side of the car and came and sat by me. " Hey are you ok?" he asked looking me over his dark hair falling into his purple? Wait purple eyes no blue never mind I'm seeing things. I nodded " just scared of the storm and really cold" i said hoping he wouldn't linger on the fact that I was terrified of the storm.  

" Hey is there somebody home with you to make sure your ok?" he asked reaching over and feeling my forehead " you really need to get inside your burning up big time" he said and got back out of the car. The next thing i know my door is open and hes picking me up bridal style hip checking the door closed carefully and carrying me to my house "n.n.n..nobodys here they work" i said chattering " you got keys somewhere ?" I nodded towards the urn of flowers by the door " under" i said quietly and he nodded and tipped it with his knee and moved the key out with his other foot " you know i can stand " i said angrily 

He didn't listen and bent down to get the key tossing me slightly to get an arm out he somehow managed to keep me from falling with one arm wow. He opened the door and replaced his arm carrying me in and quickly kicking the door shut. He looked around and smiled " you know your house looks alot nicer than revens" he said laughing and i nodded stifling a cry as another crash of thunder shook the house. He took me through the large white and black entry into the living room it was beige my least favourite color. He took me and layed me down on the large brown sectional and stood beside me. " um so... are you going to be okay here alone like this?" he asked rocking on his heels. I nodded slowly but then was deceived by my fears as i let out a loud scream and curled up into a ball shivering at the newest roll of thunder. 

" Ok that's it I'm gonna stay with you till your folks get back it would be cruel to leave you here on your own like this " he said brushing the hair out of his eyes. " I nodded " thank you but you really don't need to I've been through storms alone before " I said sitting up trying to look unafraid as the thunder shook the house again. But I failed closing my eyes and hugging my body tightly. " no really its fine ill stay with you, now go get dried off... oh and can I get a towel too?" he asked brushing a spike of black hair out of his eyes. He wasn't like the others i had to admit... he was more like me gothish and nice. I stood shakily terrified of the almost continuous thunder and motioned for him to follow me.  

We went upstairs to my room and I went into one of my closets and pulled out a pile of towels and some clothing for me. "here... for now... I'll go see if one of my step brothers has anything that would fit you" I said as he raised his eyebrow at me. " yeah I'll tell you when were dry" I said laughing slightly feeling slightly more relaxed as I walked into the bathroom that was adjoined to my room. That's right people I have my own bathroom attached to my room. 

Anyways I dried off as best I could and wiped the makeup off my face before throwing the towel around my hair and getting dressed jumping at every thunder strike. I walked back into my room and saw josh standing there with his shirt off and I just gawked awkwardly I think I may have even drooled a little. Well he was hot he had a six pack under all those layers of black along with strong muscular arms and chest. I blinked and shook my head trying to force myself to stop staring. Finally I was able to avert my eyes to the floor and I walked out of the room and headed to my half brother rays room and too his dresser and grabbed some clothing for Josh. Then I heard some small whimpers and noticed my puppy Tala a black and white husky laying under rays bed shivering. " so your like me then huh pretty girl?" I asked scooping her up in my arms and hugging her to my chest. I got back to the room to see josh standing there in his spongebob print boxers I froze and almost dropped Tala.

A/N: Sorry for taking so long to post my laptop is dead and Ive had to do all this by my phone and try to remember what it was it had said.. but yeah.. thanks for reading and please vote/comment.

Also just so I know you guys are there suggestions for music still appreciated and id love ya to tell me where you think this is going or what you think should happen between Cassie and Josh. Is Josh just using her or do you think he actually likes her or what do you want to happen?????
