"How about London?" Violet asks Dave.
"London is pretty good. I like the weather, except when it's winter. The people are friendly too. But, NYC is so much better than London," Dave answers.
"Ah, I see. Home sweet home right?" Violet says softly. I continue eating my beef stew while Zach keep looking at me.
"Stop staring at me, perv," I say.
"You look so beautiful when eating," he says. I ignore him by shoving a spoonful of beef stew into my mouth. He smiles before takes a napkin on his lap. My eyes widen when he wipes the corner of my lips.
"You look so cute together, right baby?" Violet asks Ethan.
"Yeah, they are," Ethan smirks.
"Are you a couple?" Violet asks 'us'. Damn.
"Not yet. We're dating now and I'm trying to convince her that I really love her. She's play hard to get," Zach says then winks at me. I look at Pete. He's eating his beef peacefully and doesn't interested with this kind of conversation. I don't know but it makes me really sad. I feel like he doesn't care about me anymore. Is it because of that girl?
"We'll play some games and make a bonfire. It's cold at night, so I think you should bring your jacket," Hunter says. After we finish our lunch, we go back to our room. I lock my door and lay on my bed. I keep thinking about Pete. Who's that girl? Is she prettier than me? Is she nicer than me? Is she... I fall asleep in tears.
I wake up three hours later. I stretch my body and go to my private pool. I sit on the edge of the pool and cross my legs. I look at the hills in front of me 'till I feel so thirsty. I stand up and headed to the kitchen. I grab a glass and fill it with cold water inside the refrigerator.
"Val,"
I turn my head and see Pete who rubs his eyes sexily.
"Hey," I say awkwardly. He comes closer. Is he gonna kiss me? We're just a few inches away now. I put my glass on the counter and close my eyes. I'm ready Pete. But he doesn't kiss me. I open my eyes and the fact is, he grabs a glass behind me and fills it with cold water, just like what I did a few seconds ago. Oh shit. I grab my glass and drink it. What am I thinking about? He loves other girl. He won't kiss you, dumbass. You're not his type. I gulp all the liquid in my glass and put the glass on the sink. When I wanna go back to my room, Pete grabs my wrist. I look at our hands then his face.
"Are you okay? You seem so quiet today. Something's bothering you?" he asks worriedly. I pull off my hand and smile.
"I'm fine," I answer before sprint to my room. I lock my door and sit on the floor. I lean my back on the door and hug my knees. Peter doesn't love you, bitch. He won't love you. I start crying again. Silently of course.
Knock... Knock...
"Val, this is Ashley," my bestie says from the other side of the room.
"A minute," I say. I wipe away my tears and look at myself in the mirror. I grab a tissue to dry my cheeks and I make sure that there's no tears stain left. I open the door and smile.
"Miss me huh?" I ask 'playfully'. Hope she doesn't notice my red eyes. She gets inside my room and goes straight to the pool.
"Come here bitch," she says. I close the door and join her. I sit next to her and she looks at me suspiciously.
"What?" I ask.
"I saw everything today," she says.
"W-what?"
