PETE'S POV
I enter Val's room. She hugs her bolster and sniffles. I sit on the edge of her bed and stroke her hair.

"Let's have a lunch with me," I say softly.

"I'm not hungry Pete," she answers weakly.

"You haven't eaten for three days Val. Fill your little tummy or you'll get sick," I soften my voice.

"It's all my fault," she cries. I lift her up and hug her tight. She hugs me back and buries her face in the crook of my neck then cries all over again. I hate seeing her like this. The last time I saw her like this was when Mac broke her heart then left. I understand that this is so hard for Zach, but he must thinking about Val too. She's his bestfriend, he must be know how's her characteristic right? Val is a very overthinking girl. She thinks about everything around her and she always blame herself if she doesn't get a clear explanation.

"It's my fault," she says.

"It's not your fault Val. It's not your fault," I say. She doesn't give me any response and her hands aren't hugging me anymore. I pull off and shocked when look at her. Her beautiful face looks so pale, there are eyebags and dark circles around her eyes and her eyes are shut. I start to get worried. I shake her body and call her name so many times, but she doesn't answer and she doesn't move. I grab her hand and touch her pulse. She's alive, she's just black out. I lay her on the bed and call my doctor to come over.

Half an hour later, she comes and checks Val's condition.

"She's just exhausted and stressed out. There's nothing to worry about, just make sure that she eats properly and drinks enough water," the doctor says.

"Thankyou," I say quietly. When the doctor leaves, my phone buzzes. Someone's calling me. I look at the ID. Unknown number. I recieve the call and say, "Hello?"

"It's me. Meet me at Starbucks," he said before cuts the call. I dial Pat's number and waiting for her to say a hello.

"Hello," she says after the third ring.

"Pat, I need your help. Can you come to Val's now? She was blacked out 45 minutes ago, I need you to keep an eye on her,"

"Yeah, I'll be there in three," she says. I end the call and waiting for my sister to come over. When she shows up, I grab my jacket and car keys.

"Where are you going?" She asked worriedly.

"I'll be back soon. Just take care of her. Make sure that she eats properly and drinks enough water. Force her if it's necessary," I say before leave Val's house. I get inside my car and go to Starbucks in a full speed. I park my car, step my feet on the asphalt, get inside the coffee shop and look for him. I approach him who's sitting at the corner of the room.

"Take a seat," he says sharply. I sit in front of him and we look into each other eyes. I don't know, but I feel that's disgusting. If you know what I mean.

"I'll straight to the point now. Do you love her?" He asks.

"Yeah, I do," I answer honestly.

"How much is your love?"

"I don't know. That's too much 'till I can't count it,"

He laughs. What's so funny? I know that's really cliche, but that's the truth. There's a long pause before he's speaking again.

"I love her so much and I don't wanna lose her," he says with a smile. I bet he's thinking about her now.

"I know that," I cut him off.

"Let me finish it,"

"Sorry,"

"I love her so much and I don't wanna lose her. She's my world. She makes my life feels more alive. Can you promise to me, you'll protect her?" he asks.
