Ashton
I picked at the wood, a chunk coming off in my hand as I set it down in one of the open drawers.

I had successfully removed one nail from the window and I still had a lot more to go but it was a victory to me.

I closed the curtains and put the medal ruler down when I heard footsteps. I managed to get onto the bed and close my eyes in time for the door to open.

I tried to even out my breathing, keeping my eyes closed as I hoped that whoever it was would leave me alone. But I forgot who I was dealing with, of course they wouldn't leave me alone.

The bed dipped as someone sat down next to me. I had to clench my fists under the blanket as I felt someone brush my hair away from my face.

"Ashton, wake up princess." Luke murmured softly. I held my breath for a second in surprise.

Luke? Why wasn't he yelling at me? Or just shaking me awake roughly? Or throwing something at me? Hitting me?

Why is he whispering to me softly and being...nice.

"Ash, come on, there's breakfast downstairs." Luke said softly.

I opened my eyes slowly, sitting up and scooting away from him. He didn't seem too fazed by that, only smiled at me again and got up.

I didn't say anything, just stared at him in confusion. I was more then a little shocked.

Luke turned around when he got to the door and raised an eyebrow. "Are you coming?"

I got up slowly and made my way to him, he immediately wrapped an arm around my waist. I flinched away from him and he smirked.

"Don't be scared babe, I'm not going to do anything right now." I gulped and looked away from him. There was the Luke I knew.

"Your not going to do anything to me ever." I muttered and he chuckled.

"Sure, if that's what you want to think."

I didn't respond, just let Luke guide me to the kitchen where Calum and Michael were.

Calum was sitting on Michael's lap, giggling as Michael fed him with a small smile on his face.

It made me want to gag.

Calum used to be like me, from what I had gathered. He used to fight to get away, he used to get hurt for doing so. He used to fight for his family and now he enjoyed being here.

He enjoyed being in the arms of his captor.

I shivered and looked away. Luke wrapped his arms around me from behind and rested his chin on my shoulder. I tried to squirm away from him but that only made his grip on me tighten.

"We could be like that too you know." He whispered in my ear and I just scoffed.

"In your dreams. I'll never like you like that." I hissed at him. He didn't seem to like that very much. He pushed me forward harshly and made me sit down.

"You're in my dreams every night but that's not exactly what happens in them." He says, sitting down next to me and smiling innocently.

I turn away from him again but squeak as he pulls my chair closer to him.

"Look at me." He mutters, his hand resting on my thigh. From the corner of my eyes I can see Calum now staring at us. He looks scared, like me defying him is something unheard of.

For my family. For the freedom Calum had taken from him. For myself.

I stay silent and he huffs, pulling my face towards him harshly.

"I never got my good morning kiss." He says and I grip the wrist that has a hold on my face.

"Why would I kiss you?" I mumble and he laughs.

"Because I own you, and I want you to." He says simply and I glare at him, trying to pull his hand off me.

He leans forward and kisses me, his lips moving against mine. I'm too weak to pull away, his grip on me bruising.

I try to push at his chest but that does nothing. He pries my lips open with his own, shoving his tongue into my mouth.

As a last resort I bite down on his lower lip, making him pull away abruptly and glare at me.

"And I thought I already told you, you don't own me." I watched as he pulled his hand away from his bleeding lip and Michael started laughing from beside us.

"You really got yourself a fighter." Michael laughs and Luke turns to glare at him. But then Calum joins in as well, trying to contain his giggles as he buries his face in Michael's neck.

Luke's glare softened and then he smiled, turning to look at me.

He pulled me onto his lap and settles his hands on my ass. I glare up at him and rip his hands off me.

"Yeah, but we'll change that." Luke leans down to whisper to me.
