"Jill I need to talk to you." Dylan says, his face very serious.
"Okay. what is it?" I asked, a little nervous. I concentrate on the many voices and footsteps to help me.
"Well, I just want you to know about everything that's going on, I'm sure it's confusing." He says intertwining his fingers on the white table.
"Yes, yes it is." I laugh nervously.
"Well here's what happened before you came." He waits for a response. So I nod for him to continue.
"Before you came, I used to be one of the best spies here, then I was assigned to a mission with Rachel." His eyes light up at the sound of the name.
"Hmmhm." I say as a signal for him to continue.
"I loved her so much, she was everything to me, them whenever we went on the mission. which was to steal a Gem, a gem that this spy unit needs to survive, sh- she didn't make it." his voice is full of sadness now.
he continues, "I left her to go get the gem, I got it, but I lost her, When I came back to where she was, she had been stabbed and shot. I would've grab her and brought her back but they were coming after me soon after and I didn't have a choice. I never came back here after that, I was angry with myself and the spy unit. I was so confuse after that. Why would they want to steal in he first place? It killed her Jill, they're greediness Killed her." His voice cracks, he must've really loved her.
"I'm so sorry Dylan." A tear rolls down my cheek and I reach my hand across the table and put it over his.
"It was all my fault though." He says, his voice full of sadness and is low.
"No, there's nothing you could've done." There was but I'm not going to hurt him more than he already seems to be.
"Hey- oh did I come in at the wrong time?" Rose walks up to the table and now has a worried expression on her face. she is also holding our coffee.
"No that's fine, thanks." I say as she hands us out coffee's. 'And also thank you for interrupting our conversation.' I silently thank her. I didn't know what else to say to him, I'm thankful for her presence and the time we received it.
"Okay so Jill, were going to talk about this whole thing, being a spy and all." she chuckles and sits down beside Dylan and I.
"Yeah." I sighed and take a sip of my coffee.
"Well, first off you will be taking training classes, but you will have an altered one because you have to be ready quick for the biggest mission anyone could receive, it's going to be a challenge but you'll get through it, I promise." She smiles and gulps down some coffee or whatever it is she got, a Frappe. I think.
"Now I have so many questions, more than before." I sigh.
"Spill." She says nodding at me to continue.
"What kind of training classes?" I ask.
"One that helps you learn all of the techniques of being a spy and also spy history." She answers.
"Okay, biggest Mission? Why me?" I ask, really wanting this answer more than anything. Well, besides Dylan, who is taking in full concentration in Rose's and I's conversation.
"That my darling, is something I can't answer, simply because I don't know my self." She say, not answering my question and only creating more.
We left the central area and went back to our dorms for the night.I am left to drown in utter confusion and worrying thoughts.
I out on my night clothes, which are very weird. It's a silky and if course white gown, it goes to my knees. it has spaghetti straps on it. It's nice I suppose, I'm just not used to nice clothing like this.
I feel so sorry for Dylan and this girl he loved so much. No jealously, just sorrow. I wish I could do something to bring her back to him, he really must've loved her, and from the way he sees it, it's his fault for her death. It's not his fault, he didn't pull the trigger, the enemy did.
I need to show him that it wasn't his fault, I'm going to get revenge.
