Kaylee's POV
I wake up to my mom shaking me vigorously, yelling.
"KAYLEE WAKE UP"
"Mom, mom, what's going on?"
"Kaylee we need to go to the hospital now!"
"Why tell me what's wrong" I raised my voice, getting impatiently worried.
"It's Ethan, your boyfriend. His mom called."
"OKAY AND WHAT DID LISA SAY?!" I scream, extremely scared at the moment.
"I'll explain on the way get up and hurry!"
She leaves me room in a rush and I jump up from my bed, running around my room. I brush my hair and put on shorts and a t-shirt and race downstairs. I put my jacket on and head out to the car, where my mom was already waiting. We rush to the near hospital.
"Mom please tell me what happened?!"
"Ethan got in a terrible car accident, I'm extremely sorry baby."
"IS HE OKAY IS HE ALIVE"
"Kaylee please calm down."
"I WONT CALM DOWN UNTIL YOU TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO KNOW"
"Sweetie he is alive but from the terrible condition he's in, they don't know how long he will last"
I break down crying.
I can't lose Ethan.
He's been with me for years.
He just proposed, we were about to move out into our own house together.
My whole future is ruined.
He needs to stay with me.
He can do this.
