The truth

Anthony stood up and slammed his fist against the table. The second his fist hit the metal table, an instant indent was on it as the room shook. "You promised! You promised you would tell her the truth! Go on! Tell her!" He shouted as he looked around the room, no one dared to mess with him now. He sat down And stared directly at Max. Max caught the look that was shot to him from Anthony, and he stuttered as he talked to me.

"You, um, you weren't stabbed. You, you actually weren't there at all." Max said. Wait." I said now, my voice getting stiffer the madder I got. "Kenzie, you lied to me? Did anyone here tell me the truth? How the hell am I supposed to trust you, when you can't even tell me the truth!"

"Look," Max said. "All of us lied, I am sorry but we had to."

Anthony stood back up, making a second first mark on the table, and then a third. Both hands were now on the table, and as he screamed his fist went deeper into it. "I DID NOT LIE! I AM THE ONLY ONE THAT SAID 'DON'T LIE.' I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN BUT YOU GUYS WOULDN'T LISTEN TO ME!". He shouted his voice filled with rage. "We will go somewhere else, anywhere but here." He walked over to me and asked, "Are you staying or leaving, because if you stay, then I'll stay." I looked around the room, I did not trust any of them. Then I made my decision. "If I'm going anywhere, I want to be somewhere, with people I trust. I am coming with you, but only if Kenzie will come too. All I know is I grew up with you guys, so I had to trust you at least the tiniest bit."

"I just wanted to find out what has been happening, And being strapped to a bed is not helping."

Max looked at me and said, "Please don't leave, what did I do wrong?"

I stood up and said one sentence that topped it all off. "I am no alien, I am no animal, but I am human. For some reason though, you still treat me as if I'm a threat to the planet, and I'm done with it." I knew what I had said, and I was glad I had. He lied to me, chained me up, and didn't even have the nerve to tell me what was going on until a month later when I finally was allowed to get up. I stood up, Kenzie stood up, and we all walked out the door.

First, we went to Kenzie's room, and she grabbed a pretty silver chain necklace from under her pillow and slid it in her pocket. Then she grabbed a little metal tin of mints and stuck that in her pocket. Then we went to Anthony's room. By the time we got in, an alarm went off and red lights started flashing. My head started spinning, it was aching and there was so much pain, and then I saw it, I could see outside the room. I could see on the first floor seven security guards running up the stairs, and on the floor that we are on, the sixth, there were thirteen of them heading straight for us. "THEY'RE COMING!" I yelled. as Anthony grabbed a paracord bracelet and slid it on his wrist. "WHAT?" Anthony yelled. The alarm was so loud it was damaging to the ears. I screamed again that they were coming for us, and in seconds we were on our way.
