Sam was in her room listening to Shinedown's album, Amaryllis.

It's eight A.M. this hell I'm in

Seems I've crossed the line again

For being nothing more than who I am

So break my bones

And throw your stones

We all know that life ain't fair

But there is more of us

We're everywhere

We don't have to take this

Back against the wall

We don't have to take this

We can end it all

All you'll ever be

Is a faded memory of a bully

Make another joke

While they hang another rope

So lonely

Push him to the dirt

'Til the words don't hurt

Can you hear me?

No one's gonna cry

On the very day you die

You're a bully.

Sam started to cry. Started to get flashbacks of yesterday,

Ugly bitch, you're worthless, can't you see nobody wants you here, go kill yourself, nobody loves you.

She screamed.

"Keep it down in there!" her dad yelled. He didn't care about her. He abused her. All day. He was always drunk. She didn't have a mother to turn to either.

*SCHOOL NEXT DAY*

"Hey, guys, look. It's her," some kid said. Sam didn't bother to turn around to see who it was. She didn't need to. She kept walking, and they kept talking.

They figured out she wasn't going to say anything and they started shoving her into lockers and people. Her head hit the lock on the locker. She ran into the bathroom and locked herself in a stall and cried. She walked home and ran into her father. After many kicks and punches in the face, stomach, and everywhere else, Sam was finally able to get cleaned up for dinner with new neighbors.

The doorbell rang and she ran down to get it. At the door there was a blonde hair boy and two people behind him. Two girls holding hands. "Hi. You must be Sam. I'm Natalie and this is Hanna. And this right here is Kyle.

"Sam! Start making dinner now!" Sam hurriedly went to the kitchen and started making pasta. Her dad came in. "Why are you not done with this yet? You've had plenty of time." And started to hit her.

Kyle was going to the bathroom and stopped when he heard her father's voice. He knew he shouldn't eavesdrop but he couldn't help it. He peeked around the corner and saw her dad hitting her. He ran in there and tried to help her. The last thing he remembers is Sam blacking out right before he did.
