Chapter 49

Sitting with the love of your life, eating your favorite fruits in a fruit bowl and watching the sunset from your old apartment. What could be better? I stood corrected. There is something that could deffintly he better that this.

Watching the sunset just about fall, it was a pretty pink, yellow and white mix of colors in the sky, Dan tapped my shoulder making me turn around. He had the cutest, shy smile on his face making me wonder what he was up too. He pulled both my hands up causing us both to stand up as he held both my hands and looked deep into my eyes.

"Chloe...wow...where do I begin on a woman, that i not only love with all of my heart, but the One woman who has changed me for the better. Who has been such a big impact on my life.  Who I can't see myself without in the future. Yeah, we've had out ups and downs. The California trip and the family issues was not the highlight of our relationship but I find that's what makes us stronger. I can tell, because the 2 times you've been out of my life I've been miserable, like there was no point in living. And I know this all sound cliche and you must be thing how somone could fall for such a broken person, because that's what I've been telling myself this whole time. But I'm here and in it for it all. I haven't left yet, and I never plan on doing so. I hope you won't either because you are the love of my life and I don't want any other girl in my life, unless of course it's a daughter or someone. " he said chuckling never breaking eye contact. By this point I was practically sobbing. Then he did the think I never thought anyone would ever do too me in my whole life.

He shifted his feet, let go of my hand, got down on one knee and pulled a box out of his pocket. My breath hitched and my heart started too beat faster than it ever has before.

"So Chloe, will you do the honors of becoming a Howell and marrying me?" He asked with such hope in his eyes. I locked into those beautiful brown eyes, that i fall in love with over and over again. I already knew my answer but for some reason I couldn't make my mouth move.

"O...of course." I said crying even more. He had the biggest smile on his face as he got up and kissed me with such passion and love, I've never felt before. After hugging and kissing, and crying he slipped the beautiful ring in my finger. It was a simple diamond but on the left side of it it had a C and on the right side it had a D. For Chloe and Dan. It was gorgeous.

This day, this life was perfect. We may have had our share of tough moments but he surprisingly stuck through with me, that's how i know he loves me and that's how I didn't have one single doubt in my mind that This was the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.

"I love you so much!" He said kissing me agian with such passion.

"I love you too, so very much." I said kissing him and leading him into his old bedroom, bringing back so many memories. I Shut the door and you can guess what happened after that.

I'm engaged....who would've thought that?

Waking up to the sun in my eyes and an arm around my hip, my memories of last night flashed through my head agian causing me too have the biggest smile on my face. I looked at my left hand and looked at the ring. I was engaged. I thought I was gonna die alone.

I flipped over on my other side to see a peaceful, asleep Dan. The love of my life, my fiance. That's a weird word. I'm gonna have to get used too that. I just admired him, with his messy hair and closed eyes. His slow breathing and just his beauty. Man did I love this boy.

Thinking back on the years we had together and how many more were gonna have gives me the goosebumps. How stupid i was back in California, how scared and alone i was for a year without Dan, after the major incident. Just makes me feel a way I've never felt before.

I leaned in and gave him and small peck on the lips which made him smile and groan, stretching out and eventully opening his eyes. He looked straight into my eyes and I gave him another small kiss.

"Were engaged..." I said with the biggest smile.

"Were enagaged..." He said with and even bigger smile. We kissed agian.

The rest of the morning consisted of snuggling in bed and just talking about anything and everything. Dan would play with my hand, specially my ring, the whole time as if he wasn't paying attention but i knew he was.

Finally getting up at about noon, I put my clothes back on and headed for a shower. I felt dirty and needed one. After I was done I got dressed into a pair of highwasted shorts and a tank top. Brushing my hair out and letting it air dry I walked put into an empty apartment to find a showered Dan on his phone.

I walked up to him and hugged him from behind. He turned around and gave me a kiss.

"Hey finace." I said in a funny, sly voice. Smirking, he kissed me agian and latched his arm around my waist breaking the kiss.

"Hey fiance." He said laughing. Letting go he put his arm around my shoulders and led me out of the door back to our apartment.

Getting back and cleaning up a bit I looked at Dan. I had something planned that I had to be at in an hour and it was a 30 minute drive.

I walked over to the couch he was on, editing a video. I kissed his head as he looked up at me.

"I'll be back I gotta go." I said giving him a quick kiss.

"Okay have fun, love you." He said grabbing my hand and swinging it.

"Love you too." I said slowly walking away letting go of his hand every step I got farther away.

Getting into the car, I turned the A.C on because it was bloddy hot and blared my music. Dan didn't know where I was going, it was a surprise.

Driving and looking at my ring every now and then always put the biggest smile on my face.

Parking the car, I got out and walked up too the door.

So guys, IT FINALLY HAPPENED! THERE ENGAGED! You don't know how long I've wanted this too happen but just didn't do it. Plus, so sorry it took forever to make part 2 of there night out, I just needed encouragement. There's alot of stuff going on at the minute. Anyway, hope you liked it. Left it off at bit of a cliffhanger so...yeah have to wait till next time. Let me know what you thought of this chapter, the engagement, the way it happened, the tattoo parlor, what she might get.
