Chapter one: the aftermath

"Jesus what a mess" a police officer said walking into pop's diner"what exactly happened here?"

"A robbery supposedly"the other police officer said

"God did they get a answer from the kid?" The police officer said

"Probably not the kid watched his own father get shot"the other police officer said

"Well if you would excuse me I am going to talk to the kid"the police officer said walking out of pop's diner, he started heading to the back of the ambulance where he spotted the red headed teenager he walked over to the kid who looked he was in shock

"Excuse me..."the police officer said"do you mind if we talk". Another police officer shows up behind the other police officer

"Hey officer Thomas I got it"the police officer said"I will talk to the kid"

"Yes sheriff Keller of course"officer Thomas said then left, sheriff Keller looked at Archie and felt bad for him he was good friends with Fred

"Hey Archie do you mind if we have a talk"sheriff Keller said Archie looked up at him

"Sure"Archie said

"Alright so what happened in there?"sheriff Keller asked

"I was in the bathroom washing my hands when I heard yelling and glass breaking... I came out of the bathroom and saw a guy in mask holding pop Tate and asking for money then he turned his attention to my dad then..."Archie suddenly stopped he looked like he was about to cry"God this is my fault it should have been me that got shot" sheriff Keller put a hand on Archie's shoulder

"Come on don't say that Archie it wasn't your fault there was nothing you could have down"sheriff Keller said Archie looked up at him

"I tried to save him... I tried to get in front of my dad but the bullet still hit him"Archie said

"Archie if you don't mind we have to bring you to the police station for more questions"sheriff Keller said"if you want I can take to see your dad after"

"Thanks"Archie said sheriff Keller gave him a nod to follow him to his cop car they both got up and got inside his car to head to the police station.

Veronica lodge was still laying in her bed after Archie left that was about two hours ago she got up and got dressed in her usual clothes she put Archie's shirt on her bed and walked out of her room to greet her mother

"Veronica we need to talk"Hermione said

"About what Mom?"Veronica asked

"About your father his coming home tomorrow night"Hermione said"and I want you here with me to greet him

"Mom I have plans with my friends tomorrow night"Veronica said

"Well then cancel them"Hermione said Veronica rolled her eyes at her mom then she received a message from Kevin

Omg Veronica come to my house quick I have to tell you something

Veronica looked back at her mom

"Look mom I have to go we can talk about this later"Veronica said while walking out of her apartment door. Veronica made her way to Kevin's house she walked in and saw Kevin and Betty and Jughead

"Betty what are you doing here?" Veronica asked

"Kevin called me and Jughead he said it was a emergency"Betty said

"Where's Archie?"Jughead asked

"He's at the diner"Veronica said"why you want him here too?" Betty and Jughead looked at each other while Kevin looked at the floor all shocked
