Chapter twelve: back to normal life

After a month of the incident with Archie and Hiram there lives started to go back to normal, there was a couple weeks of school left for there sophomore year. No one has seen Hiram since the night of Archie's revenge but the search for him has turn state wide for him, while for the core four there lives are good Jughead and Betty are still together but a girl from the south side comes there way, while Archie and Veronica have gotten back to there normal relationship Archie still has nightmares about Hiram but Veronica is there to comfort him.

"Archie what do you think?"Veronica asked him making snap out of his trance, Archie looked at her to see what she was talking about she was picking out a dress for the end of the school year dance

"You look beautiful"Archie said which made Veronica smile"it's weird that the school year is going to end, it felt like yesterday when I first saw you in pops"

"And look how far we come since then"Veronica said smiling"so I don't get it where only sophomores and we have a school dance? At the end of the year, Isn't that only for seniors?"

"It's riverdale they always have a dance any chance they get Ronnie, you know the nickname of our town"

"The town with pep"Veronica said

"Come on we got to meet Jughead and Betty at pops"Archie said

"Okay just let me take off the dress, then I have to buy it"Veronica said going back into the changing room

"Okay"Archie said, then he got a phone call from his mom"hey Ronnie I'm going to be outside its my mom"

"Okay"Veronica said"I will meet you out there" Archie then went outside of the store and picked up the phone

"Hello?"Archie said

"Archie! I have some exciting news"Mary said

"What is it mom?"Archie asked her

"Well Archie I just got offered a job"Mary said"in California"

"What mom that's great"Archie said before realizing what she was implying"wait mom did you accept?"

"Well of course I did Archie"Mary said"it was a lot of money, I thought it would be better for the both of us to leave riverdale to leave our past behind"

"But mom...."Archie was beginning to say but he saw Veronica walk out of the store"can we talk later?" Then Archie hung up his phone

"Hey.... is everything alright?"Veronica asked her boyfriend

"Um.... yeah"Archie said lying to her"lets go".

"Mom?" Archie asked as he walked into his house"you home?"

"In the kitchen!"Mary said, Archie walked into the kitchen to see that she was making food

"Mom..... we can't leave riverdale"Archie said

"Archie its to late I already took the job"Mary said

"I know mom but I have friends here and a girlfriend that I love"Archie said

"I know Archie"Mary said"but it's for the best that we leave"

"Why mom?"Archie said

"Archie"Mary said"riverdale isn't safe you know that, Jason blossom is dead your father is dead and I almost lost you to"

"Mom I know that I scared you"Archie said"but I did what I did so that I could stop all the shady stuff could stop"

"Archie.... your not a hero to this town"Mary said
