The Players

OUR HANGOUT

 

It was a sunny Saturday morning. The sun rays pointing directly to my eyes like a sharp knife. I am also awaken by the loud music that was coming downstairs from the living room. My Dad played his 90's groove as my mum whipped some butter crème cake.

She has mixed all the ingredients that is now lying in a circular bowl ready to be put in the oven. I am very hungry so I go to the fridge to look for some food. The fridge gave out its scent after opening which is all the frozen food stuffs. I scan my eyes through the fridge and my eye rests on the Greek yoghurt resting at the top which I take out of the fridge.

"Mum call me when breakfast is ready. I'll be upstairs"

"Ok sweetie." She yelled back.

I could still hear Dad's loud funky music as he moved to the beats of the song.

I am now upstairs and reach and grab my phone to check if I add any new messages. It takes 20 minutes to check all my social media accounts for new messages and updates.

I then suddenly remember about the slip of paper that Harry had given him. I quickly save his number as 'Harry' then quickly sent him a simple ''Hey'' message.

"Hey Harry. U probably don't know who it is."

"Hey Jen."

"Oh so you actually remember. I thought you'll get me mixed up with one of your other lady friends."

"Nah. I've been expecting your text. So are you coming over?" He hit me with the question

     I myself didn't know if I wanted come, I mean me and Harry alone in a room.

"If I come promise no tricks." I asked Hrry.

"No babe. It is only going to be a simple movie with you and me together. That's all''

"Promise. Fingers crossed."

"I promise. Fingers crossed." Harry trying to reassure me.

"Bye I have to go but see you later."

"Yh Bye." I quickly manage to reply as my Mum screamed my name from downstairs.

"JENNY! JENNY! JENNY!

"Coming Mum." I quickly sigh as I run back downstairs.

                Breakfast looked delicious as well as the lovely buttery aroma that filled my nose. I help mum set up the table for breakfast. We all settle down.

"So Hunny how is your new school. Have you made any new friends." My mum asks me.

This was the first time they were asking me about my new school since we moved here. I really didn't know what to say. Everything was just messed up.

"My new school is fine although I miss my old friends from my old school." I said.

"Have you made any new friends sweetie?" Dad asks me looking concerned.

"Yes Dad I met Amber then Leanna and Drew who introduced me to new friends"

"That's wonderful." Dad said.

"Speaking of friends can I go to a Friend's house to watch a movie." I said.

"Who is this friend of yours? Is he a boy or girl?"

"He is a boy but only a friend."

"I trust my daughter. Let's allow her to go Dan." My mum says.

"Ok fine you can go."

                I shrug at the thought of actually calling Harry a friend....yuck. He still remains a jerk to me. I was going to go to his house at 2pm. So till then I had time to do my homework and catch up on my favourite series 'Teen Wolf!!!!'.

                I am finished doing all my homework's after and one hour and 30 minutes. The freaking internet was so slow and the episode was still buffering.

                I take out my phone to chat with Amber. We were Facetiming and I told her about the fact that I accepted to go to Harry's house

"How comes your now telling me this. I thought we were friends." Amber sounding disappointed.

"Yes we are."  I said sincerely.

"Then you wouldn't have told me now. Anyways be careful." She warns me.

"Be careful with what? We are only going to watch a movie at his house." I ask her.

"Harry is a notorious jerk and everyone knows that. Just be careful."

"Thanks for the warning but I'll be fine.

I quickly say a goodbye to Amber and we rattled about who to hang up first. She finally hung up.
