The sun was shining, the warm, welcoming beams touching my face as my chest rose and fell at a steady pace. The cool grass under my body rippled as a pleasant breeze went by. This was how a day was supposed to be. Quiet and peaceful.
"Squapt, squapt!"
I looked up at the bird-fish hybrids that flew in formation in the clear blue skies. I have affectionately named them Tunaflies. They continued their strange yet comforting calls, and I allowed a small smile to grace my lips. There was no way I could enjoy their sounds in class where the only noise you could hear are girls gossiping, guys gloating, and teachers nagging. Yeah, no thank you. Feeling a light weight on my currently bare chest, I glanced down to stare fondly at my constant companion, Teho.
"Teho, isn't this much more peaceful than reality? A world where anything and everything is possible!" I exclaimed quietly then my smile broadened as a lone daisy sprouted from his shell.
"Of course, Maru-Maru! In here we can finally talk together!" I smiled down at the jovial turtle who started to grow more flowers from his shell. I chuckled then gently picked him up and set him on the ground so I could stand and stretch my slightly aching limbs. I stretched my arms over my head then behind my back. Next was twisting my torso until I heard a satisfying pop. Last I placed my hand on my neck then titled my head until a loud cracking sound was heard and I sighed in pleasure. Man I loved the sound of bones cracking. Did that sound psycho like? Whatever, not like anyone could hear me.
"You're so weird,Maru-Maru!" Well, anyone besides my psychic turtle. I really need to shield my mind from his constant snooping. Freaking amphibian Edward Cullen. I stopped and actually thought about what I thought and shuddered.
"Eck, sorry, Edward, but I'm team Seth." I walked to the other side of the cherry blossom tree and picked up the long-sleeved, black shirt that was skin tight and slipped it on before picking up the dirty beige armor that covered my chest only and put that on. As I was putting on the golden colored gauntlets, I noticed a herd of buffainos stampeding towards were I was. Judging by the quality of their armor, they were pretty strong. They were a hybrid of a buffalo and a rhino.
"Maru-Maru!" Teho exclaimed before his tiny, hand-size body shone with a brown light until his form grew. Once the light disappeared, Teho was about the size of a SUV. His newly bulked up body was now adorned with golden brown samurai amour, a large, sturdy oak tree was on top of his shell, its roots anchored inside of it, and many herbs and flowers were at the base, poisonous and medicinal alike. I grinned then grabbed the two handguns from their holster and pointed the left one at the approaching herd while the right one was aiming in the air above them. The left gun was pure white in color with a black sun design on its side while its counterpart was pitch black with a white crescent moon on the side. Ying and Yang. Light and dark. Good and evil.
A fond smirk appeared on my face as I shot at the buffainos, and Teho let out a war cry as he charged at them head on.
"This is my reality."
