Naruto's pov

I closed my eyes and thought about wanting to go out. After sometime I opened my eyes and found myself on my futon. I tip toed to the door, opened it as quietly as possible and peeped outside to see if anyone else was awake.

"There is no one else around or awake kit"  I heard Kurama's voice speak and was startled since I couldn't see him nor was I inside my mind.

"I can talk to you like this too kit. You just have to think of your reply and I'll be able to hear it too" he said as I nodded my head in understanding as I silently closed the door and quickly walked towards the bathroom to finish my morning ablutions.

When I went down the hall way I glanced outside the window and found that the sun was just about to rise as the sky was painted in beautiful colors. Since the room I was given doesn't have any windows I usually don't get to admire such beautiful views but I don't have much time on my hands to admire nature since the matron of this orphanage will be up soon.

As I was about to leave through the back door after getting ready I heard a creak upstairs which meant that the mean lady was awake and will be coming down anytime now. I silently opened the door and slipped outside and ran with my sandals in my hand since I didn't have time t put them on without getting caught. I don't want to burnt or beaten again so I ran as quickly as I could. When I was sure no was following me I stopped and wore my sandals and started walking towards jiji's office.

3rd person's pov

Since it was too early in the morning not many were awake as our blond trekked towards the Hokage tower. Soon he reached the tower without anyone noticing him. Even though it was early Naruto knew that his jiji would still be in the office. If he isn't there then he would just wait inside his jiji's office since the Hokage had allowed Naruto to come visit him anytime irrespective of the time.

Naruto's pov

As I was on the way to jiji's office my tummy growled. It's been a few days since I was given something other than water to eat. They usually forget(intentionally) to call me during meal times or they either lock me up when I go down during meal times for being the demon who killed their loved ones. I sighed and continued to climb the stairs.

I reached his office and quietly opened the door and looked inside. Jiji was sleeping with his head on the desk using some stacks of paper as a pillow.

"JIJI WAKE UP!" I yelled and he jolted awake and jumped into a loose defensive position, clearly half awake.

"Jiji !?" I called again and this time he looked at me.

"Naruto, my boy what are you doing here so early? " he asked me concern evident in his voice as he scanned me for any injuries.

"Jiji can I talk with you alone? Please" I asked him making him raise his eyebrows, but he signed the ANBU in his office to leave. I don't know how I did it but I could still feel a presence. It was not like the others that I had usually feel whenever I visit jiji. So I went over to his side of the table and motioned him to bend down.  

"Jiji there is still someone in the corner to your left. He is different from the people who are usually here can you please tell him to leave too" I whispered in his ears making him go wide eyed. He vanished from his chair suddenly and then I heard a thud. I looked around and saw jiji above the ANBU whose presence I had felt before.
