3rd person's pov

As the Sandaime and Naru entered the Hokage's office they were greeted by the shinobis participating in today's 'Catch the commander mission'. All of them were in their battle gear. The Sandaime took his seat and the meeting started while Kurama led Naruto to the sofa to get some much needed shut eye. As soon as his head touched the sofa he was out cold.

The plan was to let Naruto go back to the orphanage and let Danzo come to get him. While this happens the ROOT that are stationed around for Danzo's protection and for destroying any witness will be taken care of by a part of Sandaime's ANBU. The jounin will spread around the village and subdue any ROOT member they come across. It is estimated that there are a total of 50 fully trained ROOT members and a handful of trainees, namely children. The main objective is to save as many of these children as possible and catch Danzo red handed. While this is the main operation there is a side operation where the clan heads will take out foreign shinobi or rouge nins coming to help out the ROOT in their mission to get the nine tails. The rest of the Sandaime's ANBU will go underground led by Tenzo who was a former ROOT ANBU and raid the place and collect the information stored by Danzo. If this mission goes successfully many innocent lives can be saved and one of Konoha's deep rooted darkness will be removed while obtaining useful information regarding enemy nations and villages. Even though Danzo's actions are horrendous he makes sure to keep an eye out on Konoha's enemies and this information will be valuable, hence the raid. After the plan was summarised they moved on to the recon team's reports.

Sandaime is listening to the various reports from the recon team that was sent earlier this morning to gauge our enemies movements. One report shocked all the people in the room. They didn't expect to hear such a thing. They all knew the old war hawk Danzo was too militaristic but to kidnap children from other village's orphanage is down right atrocious.

Sandaime's pov

*Sigh*. This would go better if Jiraiya and Tsunade were here. I getting too old for this.*Sigh* the consequences of Danzo's actions would lead to the next shinobi war if the other Kages find about his underhanded dealings. Maybe Kurama was right even though I hate to admit I let them have too much power after Minato's death expecting them to help lessen my burden but my incompetence may have lead to a civil war in Konoha.

'Guess I need to put them in their place after all this is sorted out. I am very much disappointed in my so called advisors/former team mates'  I thought while listening to the reports. After the reports were given and the plans finalised I dismissed them to let them prepare themselves. I then decided to start with my plans for the council. I have a foreboding feeling regarding their recent activities. 

"Neko call these two chunin to my office immediately" I said handing the ANBU the names of the chunin. She bowed with a *Hai hokage-sama* and left to call them. I need to find out how they suddenly became wealthy. If it is through illegal methods then I can easily throw them out.

'Hmm. I have a very bad feeling about this. Something tells me that I am going to really regret not doing this sooner'  I was brought out of my musings with a knock on my door.

"Come in" I said and Neko entered with the two I requested, bowed to me and left to prepare herself.

"Hokage-sama" they said and bowed to me.

"I called the two of you here for a very important mission. I need you both to look into each of the civilian and elder council's financial status and all the transactions done by them in the past four years. This is a highly confidential mission which even my ANBU don't know since the result of your mission will help the fourth's legacy vey much. If I find you tipping off the council you can kiss your ninja career goodbye. Am I clear?" I asked them sternly. Though I knew they of all people wouldn't do such things it is always better to be on the safe side. These two hate the civilian and elder council for nearly ruining their lives. Had Minato not stepped in their whole family would have been exiled for treason which they didn't commit. 

"It will help Lord Fourth's child? But how Hokage-sama? We heard that his child died along with him and Lady Kushina during the Kyuubi's attack" said one of them.I had to grit my teeth to control my anger since I can guess who passed such info but I have to verify it.

"Where did you hear such things from?" I asked with barely concealed anger.

'What the hell have I been doing all this time? How did such rumours spread without my knowledge? Damn I really hate to admit it but Kurama was right ' I thought as I looked at them for answers.

"The elder council informed us Hokage -sama" one of them said and my anger peaked. 

"Thank you for bringing it to my attention.  And no the Fourth's legacy is very well alive and is in dire need of your help. Can I trust you with this mission?" I asked even though I know their answer.

"We accept our mission Hokage-sama. Anything for our saviour's child" they both said and I sighed in relief.

"Hokage-sama if we may can we ask the child's appearance we would like to see him. We won't interact with the child we just want to see the child. Can we?" one of them asked me.

"Yes you may. But keep his identity a secret. I will not reveal his heritage till he requests me to do so. You can interact with him he knows who his parents are" I said and the two in front of me were very happy. Before they could ask anything else I cut them off.

"Well the little one sleeping on the couch is his legacy, Uzumaki Naruto" I said.
