Chapter 5

When I heard footsteps coming down the hall I tried to run to the bathroom but I wasn't fast enough.

Grace's POV

When I was walking down the hall to go to the bathroom I heard sniffling.

My heard shattered.

"Konnor?"

" Uh Grace...hey?"

"Konnor..." I said while walking towards him

"I gotta go back to class."he said while walking down the hall.

" Konnor wait."

"Just drop it Grace. Gosh."Konnor said angrily.

"I'm sorry." I whispered quietly but by the time I said it I heard his class door shut.

Sighing I let out a shaky breath and tears silently fell down my face and I slid down the wall.

Everything I've been holding in I let it out. Soon I started hyperventilating and every very breath I took became more and more difficult. I decided to call Luke. Even if it was in the middle of class I needed him.

"Grace I'm in class."Luke whisper-yelled

"L-Luke I need you pl-please."

"Wait where are you?"

"T-the eleventh g-grade hall."

"Ok I'm on my way now."

"Th-thanks."

Soon I saw Luke running to me. "Grace..breath.."

"I c-cant..I-I'm scared Luke."

"Grace look at me and breath."

I looked at him and tried. Slowly my breathing returned to normal.

"Thanks Luke."

"No problem."

I hugged him harder than I ever have before.

" We should probably go back to class. but first you need to clean your face."He said and looked at me horrified

I rolled my eyes at him."Shut up."
