The sacrifice

Beatrice is asleep on the settee, Belle is cleaning up again, Boris is just staring at himself in the mirror and then Maurice came in through the door physically drained, Belle was the first one to ask what happened "Father! what happened, please tell up"
Beatrice didn't care about her fathers well being "Are we still poor? Oh no! We can't manage to be poor for another day" Beatrice looked in Maurice's hand and realised all he had brought back was a rose "Your brought her a rose back and me nothing?"
Boris couldn't be bothered to even stick up for his sister "Father, what in the name of... Thingy happened to you?" Boris got up and looked out of the window "Where's the horse? Wait, don't tell me you've lost that too! I needed it to go into town tomorrow!"
Beatrice quickly became sick of her brother attitude and ignorance "Is that all you think of Boris! Damn you! Don't you understand what this means for us?" clearly speaking about herself and her brother "No one rich will marry us at this rate! We will have to live in this dive forever!"
Boris grew angry at what Beatrice was implying "Don't say that sister! I am handsome someone rich will marry me, maybe, just maybe we could pretend we are rich again just to trick them! It's different for me, I am a gentleman. I'll find some rich foreigner who knows not of my poverty." Beatrice rolled her eyes.
Belle grew worried about her father "Please brother, sister something is wrong with father. We must find out what has happened"
Maurice didn't want to talk about his dreadful journey to the castle and what had happened inside "Take your rose my dear, for it has cost me dearly, I must leave and find a way to outsmart a cruel Duke all because of this rose" as soon as he mentioned a Duke Beatrice shot up and father carried on "I'm sure he will kill me and leave my family fatherless" Beatrice wouldn't let her Father talk anymore she wanted to know about this Duke
"A Duke? was he handsome?"
Boris had a question as well "was he rich?"
But father had to tell the truth "Yes bit he was also cruel a will certainly kill anyone that goes there."
Beatrice and Boris grew worried and Beatrice was sure to make Belle feel guilty "See! This is your entire fault you horrible creature!" As Beatrice spat her venom towards Belle, Belle grew more angrier inside "Why didn't you just ask for a dress!"
Boris wanted to join in so he got up into Belle's face "You are going to be the cause of our fathers death! And your not even crying" Belle grew more upset now than angry but managed to keep calm
"That would be quite pointless, why would I shed a tear about father when he is not going to die?" Belle knew that her father was ill but wouldn't want to think about the worst situations "Since the Duke is willing to accept one of us. I am prepared to offer myself to appease his fury" Belle said with confidence "This is my fault, I will take this sacrifice."
As soon as these words left Belles mouth Maurice knew that she couldn't go, He loves belle too much "I will not let you do this Belle, we will find a way, maybe we could double cross him somehow"
Belle knew that her Father didn't want to leave, and that's why it makes it hard for her to say goodbye to him "Rest assured father, I may be young but I am not fiercely attached to this life. But if I lose you I will die of grief. I would rather take my chances with the duke."
Beatrice knew that she would go but Beatrice also knew that her father will do everything in his power to stop her from leaving. Beatrice nodded to Boris to get father to let her go "Father, let her go, we can't manage without you, how will we cope?"
"Father! you have to look after us and make sure our reputation stays intact!"
Belle knew what her brother and sister were doing and in a way she was happy about it but then again she would miss her family "I will go father, please just let me do this for the family, I understand we cannot manage without you, but me you have no use for."
"Yes father don't you see we don't need her to be rich again, she will not marry she's useless!" Boris said with venom in his tone.
Beatrice began talking to Boris about the duke "Who is this duke? Does he have lots of money maybe I will go and make him fall in love with me"
Maurice butted in "He said he was a Duke but I saw no servants or horses, how can he possibly be one? The castle was empty"
"I will go, father goodbye I love you. sister, brother I hope you marry well and are happy" and with that Belle left her family to go and live a life of punishment and torture.
As Belle reached the castle to consent in Maurice's place she realised there was no one around "Hello? Is anyone there?"
As Belle looked around she saw the table "You see, the Duke is going to try and fatten me up before eating me, since he paid so dearly for me."
The duke came in and startled Beauty "You are very kind and I am grateful to you for coming to me humble home, you must be famished, will you dine with me?"
