Harry stood next to the owlery window stroking Hedwig's head at about a quarter to nine on the first Friday night of October. The weather had begun to turn cold and the nights long. Harry stared out across the forest and past the mountains where the sun had set hours ago.
"Thought I'd find you here." a familiar voice said from the entrance.
"Hey." Harry said as Draco joined him at the window.
"Wow, you sure know how to make a boy feel special." Draco said sarcastically, "Are you okay? You've hardly talked to me in days."
Harry sighed and faced his boyfriend, "Yeah, I've just been a little distracted, I'm fine though, don't worry."
Draco played with Harry's tie and pulled the dark haired boy closer, "Maybe I should give you something to focus on." He teased as he left a trail of kisses running down Harry's jaw line and down his neck.
Harry laughed and wrapped his arms around Draco's slender waist, "I think I'll just become distracted for another reason." He pulled Draco in and planted several kissed of his own on the blonde's neck.
Draco smiled and looked Harry in the eyes, "You'll tell me when something's wrong, right?"
Harry nodded, "But something has to be wrong for me to do so, and right now... right now everything is perfect." He lied, still forcing a smile.
Draco nodded and stared out the window, still unconvinced. He glanced down at his watch, "It's almost curfew." He whispered, not wanting to let Harry go.
"I know." Harry led Draco back towards the castle and walked with him until they reached the stairs that led down to the dungeons one way, and up to Gryffindor tower the other.
Before parting ways, Draco pulled Harry in by the waist for one last kiss. Their lips crashed together, deepened by their passion and shear need to be with each other. "Sleep well, Potter." Draco whispered as they parted.
"Like wise, Malfoy." Draco leaned in for another kiss, but was pushed towards the stairs by a smiling Harry, "Go, I'll see you tomorrow."

Harry flopped down on his bed while his roommates threw pillows at each other from across the room.
"Cutting it a little close, Harry." Dean commented, glancing at their clock.
"Yeah, Harry," Seamus added, "Hot date?"
Harry laughed with his friends, "Hotter than yours."
"So there was a date." Neville commented, sitting on the floor next to Harry's bed.
"I can neither confirm nor deny that, Neville." he stated, still smiling like a idiot.
"Really?" Dean pointed at Harry's neck, "Then what's that and how'd you get it?"
Harry clasped his hand to his neck and ran to the bathroom. He searched his neck for any marks or bites, but found nothing. He heard laughter coming from the next room, "Very funny, Thomas."
Dean shrugged, "I thought so."
"So who is she?" Seamus asked, joining Neville on the floor.
"Who?" Harry asked.
"Come on, Potter. You basically flew to the bathroom, there has to be a girl." Dean pointed out.
"There's no girl." Harry said defensively.
"Okay, Ron, who's Harry dating?"
"What makes you think I know?" Ron asked, flopping down on his own bed.
"Please, Harry tells you everything, there's no way you don't know who he's been snogging." Neville said.
Ron only shook his head, "Harry doesn't tell me everything, Neville."
Harry sent his mate a thankful look before changing out of his uniform for bed, "Even if I was seeing someone, I don't see how it's anyone's business. Just because I'm a public figure, doesn't mean I have no right to privacy."
"Well, if you ask the people at the Daily Prophet, they'd have to disagree with you." Neville pointed out, "I mean, remember what happened in June?"
Harry looked down, feeling tears approaching, "Yeah... I remember."
"Sorry, Harry. I wasn't thinking."
"It's okay, Neville." Harry smiled at his friend and ignored the tears, "I'm fine, you were there too, you have as much right to discuss it as anyone." Neville released a breath and relaxed, "Besides, most of the stuff in the news was a bunch of rubbish, and it's not like anything they write sticks for long."
"But it does carry some influence." Dean pointed out, "But we don't really care about that. We're with you till the end, Mate, no matter what."
"Really?"
"Of course, Harry." Ron insisted, "We'll stand by you through everything." His claims were backed up by nods of agreement.
"Good, because there's actually been something I wanted to tell you guys, I just didn't know how." Harry looked around at his friends and made sure that he had their full attention before proceeding, "This is something I've known for a while, but I've been avoiding saying anything because of the type of press it could attract. However, seeing as you guys are my best mates, I think it's only right that you know, I'm gay."
"Dean, you owe me 15 galleons!" Seamus cried from the floor. Dean cursed and pulled the money out of his trunk, handing it to a very smug Seamus.
"You guys bet on Harry's sexuality?!" Ron cried.
Dean shrugged, "Yeah, we suspected one of us was gay for a while, so we took bets on who it was. Seamus bet on Harry, I bet on Neville."
"Hey!" Neville cried, hitting Dean in the face with the nearest pillow he could find.
"Does this mean you're okay with me being into guys?"
"Of course." Dean said, speaking for the whole room, "Anyways, who's the guy?"
"What do you mean?"
"He means," Neville clarified, "Who were you out with earlier? Your hot date?"
"Yeah Harry, who was it?" they pressed.
"Was it Malfoy?" Seamus asked.
"What?" Harry choked out, suddenly finding himself very warm, "Why would I go out with Draco Malfoy?"
Dean shrugged, "Maybe because the sexual tension between you two has been extremely tight since day one."
"Plus, there was that rumor last year that he's bisexual." Seamus added.
Harry rubbed his neck nervously, "Well, nothing is going on between me and Malfoy. But I can assure you that you will not be meeting him anytime soon. It's not exactly safe for us to come out, it sort of paints a pretty big target on our backs, and it would have the Death Eater's names written all over it."
"We understand, Harry. And if you don't want us too, we won't say anything." Dean reassured his friend.
"Thanks guys, that means a lot."
Hey, sorry for the late update. I'll try to get the next one out early to make up for it.
