Miraculous Ladybug: Double Heroes

(Mari/LB) (Adrien/CN) Part 27: Marionette

This is Marionette, Marinette's possessed/akumatized form. Since Mari is, y'know, LADYBUG, it requires more for Phantomina to keep her under control. And since I see people misspell "Marinette" as "Marionette" SEVERAL times, I saw this and was like: Oh. HELL. YEAS!!!!! Also, oh fuck.

Marinette/Ladybug's P.O.V.

I run outside, collapsing in the bushes by the stairs, crying hard.

I notice the little black orb a few seconds too late.

"N-n-no!" I choked out as the Phantom Sphere flew into Aunt Cirena's necklace that Marin gave me when he first arrived.

I gasped and fell over, Marin coming into view. I took off my earrings and threw them near a bush, quickly scrambling away from the area. The dark bubble that possessed so many before me was starting to engulf me

"Marin!" I called weakly, weakly pointing to his feet, which where close to the earrings' location as he turned to me, panic evident on his face.

"Mari-" "Put them on!" I screeched, interrupting him and scrambling even farther away. He searched and found them quickly, relief washing his features for a millisecond. Phantomina shouldn't be able to tell my secret identity now.

"Put them in Marin, you can do this!" I trailed off, the bubble encasing my body and lifting me into the air.

"Mari NO!" He screamed.

I saw Adrien, Alya, Nino, Nathaniel, C'aira, Connor, Lila, Rose, Juleka, Jacob, Chloe, and Beau run up to Marin and scream something I couldn't hear through the bubble before the evil light fully encased me, Phantomina's voice in my head.

"Well well!" She said, "Lookie who we have here! The usual good girl, or so I've heard. Sad about finally learning the knowledge that your "True Love" does not and will never love you back?" She cackled, as I used the rest of my strength to try and fend her off. She gasped in mock surprise.

"Ooh! Something tells me that you'll be particularly hard to control, always trying to fight me." She tsked and I could almost hear her shake her head, "Oh I know! I'll simply make you my little..... Marionette."

I shivered, and felt my clothes start to change, strings grow out of my arms and wrap around my wrists, neck, ankles, etc., and my hair move to cover up my eyes. I screamed at the excruciating pain...

I'm finally let out of the bubble.

Adrien/Chat Noir's P.O.V.

Marinette... likes..... me....... back.........? And she's been crushing on me since the umbrella. Our kiss wasn't one-sided or a rush of the moment!?

How could I have been so blind and stupid?!?

I was lost in my own thoughts till I heard a scream.

"Mari NO!"

Uh oh. Marinette!

I jumped out of my seat and towards the door, as most of the rest of the class did.

We ran out to see Mari being encased in a black bubble. She was getting possessed???? NO...

All of us were shouting for her as the light encased her panicked face.

There was a loud boom that knocked us off of our feet. As I recovered and looked up, I saw a large puppet that resembled Marinette....

"Oh no..." I whispered, a tear rolling down my face, others quickly following, "Marinette!"

"Hello," the doll said in a monotone voice. It sounded like someone was speaking through Marinette and partially using her voice, "I am Marionette, and all of the secrets in the world will soon be revealed, especially that of Chloe Bourgeois. Huh," Marionette chuckled dryly, "most of my other puppets are created by you dearie," she said, face jerked towards Chloe, she looked like she didn't have much control over her actions. I looked above her to see strings and a wooden cross, "I really should thank you. I know! I'll have my little puppet demolish you first, I'll be doing a justice to the world, you are the definition of truly cruel anyways."

I widened my eyes. Yea, Chloe was a jerk, but she wasn't always like that! I never did figure out what happened. I'd guess it has something to do with her mom...

"Enough chit Chat though, I must go find that Miraculous group, take em out before I expose your secrets," she cackled and tauntingly shook Marinette like a rag doll before flying her away. There was no way that, even as a Phantom, one could have all this control over her.

"Everybody run to safety!" I yelled, turning around to the class, knowing that they'd have to go transform, "Alya! Don't record this battle, who know what the person controlling her could do," I put a hand on her shoulder as she started to cry, "she'll be alright, our Miraculous heroes will make sure of that,"

She nodded and quickly ran, so did everyone else. I hid behind a wall. I had to save My Princess, and tell her that her feelings were reciprocated, and not one-sided! As I had believed they were...

"Plagg! Claws out!"
