"Serial killer, Michael Clifford, has finally been put behind bars. We can finally put the victims of these horrific and devastating murders to rest. The people of this town can finally relax as this dangerous man cannot harm and scare the citizens anymore. We respect and recognize the innocent victims that have had part in Michaels awful actions. Stay tuned if you would like to hear more about Michael Clifford."

...

"How would you describe Michael Clifford?" A lady dressed in a black pencil skirt and a red blazer asked Officer Gregory.

"You see, I wouldn't describe him as evil like some would. Michael is strange, he says that when he kills people he gets satisfaction and pleasure out of it but sometimes he regrets killing people. Like he didn't mean to kill Cara Hudson. They were both at a party and she essentially tried to rape Michael so he went into defence mode. Sure, he didn't need to take it as far as he did but that's the way it happened." Officer Gregory says, slouching in his chair. "I would describe him as confused."

"Confused? How so?" The lady inquired.

"He says he's conflicted. He thinks killing is okay but knows it's not. He genuinely feels bad about some of the crimes he committed, but feels proud and accomplished about others."

"Why do you think he started killing people?"

"He says that one day he just felt an urge for it, that he just wanted to do it. He wasn't trying to get revenge or anything. Actually, there was a hint of revenge in some of his actions. When he killed Jeremy Fisher, it was because of jealous revenge. Jeremy was Taya McDougall's boyfriend and Michael was infuriated by that, so he killed him. But Jeremy was Michaels fourth kill, and no previous actions were based solely on revenge."

"Why was Michael so obsessed with Taya McDougall?"

Gregory shifted in his chair, tapping his foot against the tiled floor. "He said that they had met at the beginning of high school, when they were both freshmen. It kind of just spiralled as if it was love at first sight. Of course, Taya had no feelings for Michael so he got angry. But when we found Michael, Taya had a gun to her head and multiple wounds. He said he would kill Taya if anybody shot." Gregory took a breath, not able to look the interviewer in the eye as she looked so much like Taya. Dark skin and innocent eyes.

"He called his killings 'gifts' and Taya didn't like these gifts. Which made him more angry. But then we convinced him that Taya did indeed like the gifts but he realized what was going on and lifted the gun to his own head. We talked him out of it. He is like a child, very stubborn."

The lady tilted her head, "do you think Michael would have killed himself?"

He fiddled with his fingers, "yes. If he killed six other people, I have no doubt that he could have, uh, done it to himself."

"And how do you think prison is going to treat Michael?"

"That's a good question. I really don't know how it's going to be for him. I mean, he is still just a kid so I would imagine it would be hard on him." He answered honestly.

"Do you think he's going to be okay?"

"If by that you mean, do I think he's still going to kill. I do. He's homicidal and will continue to have homicidal tendencies. He is a killer, that's the way he is. I would be surprised if there was no debacle with him. But who knows, he is very confused and conflicted so anything can happen." He sighed, running a hand through his hair.
