bewilder beast

kai P.O.V

"Oh, Cloudjumper never meant to hurt me.  he must have thought I belonged here in the home of the great bewilder beast." Hiccup's mom said 

"the what?" I asked she pointed her stick to the giant white dragon  "the bewilder beast. The alpha species one of the very few that still exists. Every nest has its queen, but this is the king of all dragons. With his icy breath built our nest a safe haven for dragons' every where." she said 

"wait that's the ice spitter? He's responsible for all that destruction?" hiccup asked in a surprised tone "Destruction what destruction?" "He protects us. We all live under his care and his command." she said "all but the babies who listen to.. nobody." we turned around to see a group of babies flocking around Toothless. Leaving Cloudjumper to come to Toothless' rescue. At that moment the bewilder beast rose up, casting a shadow over us. It was unnerving to be staring at a creature that was so much larger than I was. 

"I've lived among them for twenty years." Hiccups mom said in a hushed tone. the giant dragon let out a breath of air that was more like a breath of frost dusty my hair thankfully it had nearly dried out by now and could not have frozen.

"He likes you."  she was clearly talking to Hiccup I shook all of the frost off of my head "you two must be hungry." "Uh yeah, i could eat. Kai?" "uh yeah sure," I said my eyes were fixed on a white dragon with four heads asleep on a giant icicle jutting out into the air that was above me. One of the heads eyes snapped open. its eyes landing on me growing wider by the minute, and it rose into the air trying to awake its other heads. 

"flame" I breathed as the head with a red flame pattern managed to get the others up. The dragon spiraled down landing in front of me. Flame's head nuzzled me in the shoulder. Suddenly a lot of commotion went up as all the dragons started to take off flying towards an exit. 

"okay, how do I get out of here?" I asked climbing onto the back of the dragon. It let out a roar rising into the air and taking after the herd of dragons, but making a sharp turn down a thin passageway zigzagging through the ice. Till we popped out in the bright sunlight seeing Hiccup a little bit ahead  

Hiccup P.O.V

I looked behind me spotting a large herd of dragons flying after us "hey I thought you said we were going to eat?" "Oh, we are" My mother yelled other the wind "then where's Kai?" "Oh your friend those who have no ability to fly are unable to join us," she yelled back. 

"wrong I do have the capacity to fly I just had to take a long way out," Kai yelled flying up to my side on the four head dragon that was perfectly fine with Kai sitting on its back. "is that?" "If you think it is the ultra dragon then you're correct." Kia said,  

"you know this dragon?" My mom asked her voice full of surprise. "yes." "how" "well beca- Ah!" Kai yelled as a fountain of fish and ocean water spurted up as the Bewilder beast came out of the water tossing the fish in the air and falling back into the water. Toothless caught three in his mouth. It was a feeding frenzy while we waited for our dragons to eat their fill before we landed in the powdery snow.  

Kai walked right over to me "okay I gave you some time to catch up with your mom, but I think we need to focus on finding my freinds." "we will." I pulled out the map spreading it out on the snow "that's a big map." Kai said my mother walked over "how did you find all these islands?" "Oh, it started when I went out of the archipelago with some friends of mine a few years ago....."
