Pandora's POV

"B-but why?" I whispered, confusion portraying over my bruised face.

"Just to see if you were skilled or not. Turns out you know a thing or two about fighting," he replied with a shrug and stood up. "After you have lunch, you will follow the boys to the training path and continue to do what you were planned to do today. Just because you had to do a little test, it doesn't mean you get the day off," he added then walked off to his hut. I rolled my eyes and tried to stand up, immediately regretting it once I started to see small black stars, and started loosing my balance. I felt Gray's small hand hold my left side as he had my right arm on his shoulders, holding my right arm as he suddenly came out of nowhere and helped me stand.

"What are you doing?! You're going to go unconscious if you continue to push yourself like this," he said loudly to me as he sat me down on a log. I looked at him as my vision started to clear up, shaking my head slightly.

"I have to. I gotta start training today. I have to get used to it if I'm going to be training all day," I stated as Gray sat beside me on my right.

"Why can't Pan let you take the day off or something?" He asked as he looked at me with concern over his face.

"She'll be fine, Gray. She's not dying, she just has a couple cuts. We've all had to train no matter how we felt, and she shouldn't be treated differently than any of us," Newt said as he came out of no where. I rolled my eyes and looked up to see Newt staring down at me.

"Shouldn't you be with the other boys or something?" I asked annoyingly.

"Shouldn't you be?" He asked me as he rose his eyebrows. I snickered and looked away from him and to Gray.

"Let's go help make lunch," Gray said and I nodded, him helping me off the log. I ignored the pain and walked slowly at first, then I regained my balance and was able to walk by myself. I followed Gray down the training path and gave him a confusing look.

"Why are we going down here? I thought we were eating lunch before we train?" I asked and he chuckled before looking up at me.

"We have to catch and cook it first," he said simply and I widened my eyes.

"We're going to kill an animal and eat it?" I asked horrified and he smiled at me.

"Yes, Pandora. I don't know if you've noticed or not, but this isn't like where you were from before. We don't get full course meals and eat at the dinner table with Mummy and Daddy. This is part of our training- learning how to hunt to survive. I'll teach you everything that I know and soon enough you'll be able to live by yourself no matter what condition you're in," Gray said as he looked at me, nodding at me slowly.

"Oh, so you're a master survivalist, huh?" I chuckled and he rolled his eyes as he smiled at me.

"You can say that," he replied as he shrugged lightly.

"So, how old are you anyways?" I ask as I stare at him, trying to pinpoint his age.

"I was twelve when I came here......," the smile on his face slowly left and he got serious as he stared back at me. "Five years ago," he added and my eyes bulged out of my head.

"But...you still look so young...."

"There's no time in Neverland. Just day and night," Gray explains as we're about to enter the training grounds. I look around to see some boys pick different weapons, and I see others start going into the forest with their weapons, some going in groups, others going by themselves.

"Hey," I say as I nudge Gray's shoulder. He looks up to me slightly because there wasn't that much of a height distance, and raised his eyebrows in question at me. "If you were where you were five years ago, we would be the same age today," I said to him and ruffled his curls with a smile. He chuckled and pushed my hand away playfully.
