Pandora

I sat beside Gray as everyone was conversing and eating while I was picking my nails and trying not to focus on the pain I was in. I looked up quickly and saw that Dylan and Kyle gave me apologetic looks, and Chandler was trying to hide the smirk he had on his face. I rolled my eyes and continued picking dry blood from my nails. I want to go home.

"Why aren't you eating?" I looked at Sam to my left and shrugged.

"I'm not hungry," I stated as I felt my stomach turn at the thought of eating deer.

"After what happened today, you need the nutrients. It will help you get strong again," he replied as he tried to hand me a piece of his food.

I shook my head slightly, "no thank you, I'll eat later." He raised his eyebrows at me but didn't refuse my reply. I sighed and gently slid my finger across my bandaged left hand. The bandages that were on my wrists were now crusted mahogany and I cringed at the sandpaper sound it made once I touched it.

"Pan won't like it when he sees you're not eating," Gray whispered to me.

I looked to my right at him and shrugged my shoulders, "I couldn't less. What does me eating have anything to do with him? I'm not hungry anyway."

I started touching my bandages again as I looked away from Gray, "I'll try to talk to him to see if he'll let you take it easy the next few days-"

"No, please don't. I don't want any special treatment, I'll be fine, I promise," I interrupted with a small fake smile. Gray didn't look convinced, but he slightly nodded.

"You have to eat some at least," he said quietly as he nudged his food towards me. I shook my head and tried pushing it away, but Gray grabbed my hand softly.

"You need to eat. I'm not going to stop bothering you until you do."

"But Gray-"

"Please, Pandora. Do it for me," he urged as he brought the deer closer to me. I sighed and nodded, taking a small piece and forcing myself to eat it. I tried to imagine that I was eating chicken, but it didn't work. I continued to eat because Gray wanted me to, but I hated it. I hated that they had to eat like this when Peter has magic, and food in his fridge that he could make for everyone. I felt horrible that I got to eat a good breakfast when everyone else probably ate leftover squirrel or bunny.

After Gray and I finished sharing our food, I heard footsteps coming from behind us and I mentally rolled my eyes as to what was going to happen. I looked up once I saw boots in my vision and gave Peter a dirty look.

"How can I help you, Pan?" I asked sarcastically with a frown.

"Where is your bloody shirt?! You're distracting my boys-"

"I'm covered in bandages. None of your boys can see anything," I spat.

He walked closer to me and grabbed my left hand. Pressing his fingers into my clothed hand, I whimpered, "don't use that tone with me, do you understand?"

"Yes," I whispered, blinking tears out of my eyes.

"I didn't hear you!" He yelled in my face, applying more pressure to my hand, deepening the crimson colour of the bandage.

"Yes," I said louder. I gulped the saliva that was building up in my mouth as a silent tear went down my cheek.

"Someone get her something to cover herself with," Peter shouted once he let go of my hand. I held it at my stomach, holding it close to me as I felt the throb intensify more and more with each passing moment. A shirt was thrown at me from behind and I turned around to see Newt staring at me. I glared at him before I reached and grabbed the same shirt I had on before, except this one wasn't covered in blood or ripped apart. Gray helped me put it on with difficulty, but I was glad to have something on again.
