"He couldn't have gotten that far. He was probably kidnapped by someone trying to get to Pan-"

"Would you shut up!? I don't want to hear your voice. I didn't want to be stuck with you again, so stop talking and keep your eyes open. We're out here to look for Gray, not be conversing, so just shut the hell up and look." I seethed as I looked back at him with rage. His face was etched in anger, but he didn't say anything else, for once.

I tried to retrace my steps from the other day. Maybe Grayson could track me and followed me, but something or someone stopped him from doing so? My stomach turned at the thought. He brought his bow and arrows, so he should be okay. I hope. Newt and I continued to search around the forest, passing a few boys as we went deeper. I looked around and started to get a sense that I've been here before. Realization struck me once I heard twigs snapping. Newt raised his club, being on high alert as his eyes fixated on the moving bush to our right. I quickly went in front of him as the wolf emerged from the bushes. It took one look at me before fixing its eyes on Newt.

"Pandora, get out of the way," Newt commanded. I looked back at him and shook my head.

"It's okay, it won't hurt me," I replied as I slung my bow over my shoulder and put my hand out. The wolf still had its eyes on Newt when it started to growl and bare its teeth. "Put it down," I added as I looked over my shoulder quickly. When the wolf started to get more angrier, I turned around and brought the club down myself.

"It won't be my fault if he rips your head off," he scoffed as he glared at me. I gave him a death glare before I turned back to the wolf.

"Don't worry about him, he's just a bully." I stated once I turned back to the wolf. It stood up taller as it slowly approached us. It glanced over at me and stopped growling, but it still bared his canines at Newt. I started to step forward with my hand still stretched, smiling once my hand came in contact with its soft brown fur.

"I didn't mean to cross into your land again, I'm just looking for my friend." I told the wolf as I scratched it's ears. It bowed its head down so I could get better access, and sighed. I looked back at Newt with a smug look, but he was too busy staring at the wolf to notice. The wolf raised its head and sniffed my left hand, tilting its head as it looked at me.

"Oh, it magically healed. Crazy right?" I asked with a chuckle as I inspected my hand with curiosity.

"What's crazy is that you're talking to a wolf when we're supposed to be finding Grayson." Newt scoffed. The wolf stood back up and walked closer, growling at Newt.

"It's okay, it's okay," I whispered as I stoked its side and patted it. I looked over and saw that Newt has his club raised again. I sighed and went in front of the wolf to stop it from approaching Newt. "Could you help us find our friend?" I asked the wolf as I ruffled its ears again, trying to gain its attention. It bared it's teeth at Newt once more before turning back to me. It licked the side of my face and nodded. It bent down and looked up at me. I stared confused as I didn't know what was happening.

"He wants you to get on his back you idiot." Newt sighed as he pulled me away from it. "That's enough. We're not going to be following some wolf that has no idea what's going on. It can't understand us anyway." The wolf snarled and stood up. It was about to attack Newt when I went in front of him and put my hand up again. I looked behind my hand and saw it tilting its head at me as if to ask why I'm defending him. I shook my head and turned to Newt. He looked uncomfortable as he stared at the wolf. Him and the wolf seemed to have a staring contest, then I walked up to it and slowly put my arms around it. It huffed and put its head onto my shoulder.

"Do you know where he is?" I whispered. I pulled away slowly and it nodded again. "Can you show me?" It gave one last look at Newt before it bent down once again. I carefully climbed onto its back and gently held onto its neck. I wasn't too sure about this, but I was getting desperate. The wolf somehow knew what I was saying, and I'm crazy enough to believe that it knows where Grayson it.
