There he was,

The man I thought I loved,

He was dark and full of mystery,

Which seemingly was part of the reason I felt so drawn to him,

It was a strange feeling,

Because I wasn't gay,

I liked girls,

And that was a fact,

But something about him ensnared me in his web of trickery and deceit.

At the time,

I was a freshman,

And he was a senior,

Our two worlds were never meant to meet,

But he noticed me,

And I made the mistake,

Of catching his interest.

Looking back,

But I did,
