The Encounter
BLAKE POV
If somebody told you that travelling is fun, they're probably lying to you. Travelling, luxuriously or not, is very exhausting. Spending long hours of sitting by the window watching the world pass you by as you practically do nothing but to get bored. Even having the tendency of being sleepy and hungry at times. At some point, you'll be uncomfortable during the long run. Don't forget, it would be a challenged to capture some phone and Wi-Fi signals. And mishaps are bound to happen along the way too.
Arriving at twelve high noon, The Blue's Hotels restaurant is such a sight for him. He needed food. He was hungry. And he wants it that instant. Grumbling, He's stomach agrees in the notion for food devouring. Asking food from Jessica, the lady Nate assigned to attend to his needs, gladly ordered food for him.
Sitting in a leather couch at the waiting area, he glanced around. The Blue's Hotel, where he's currently staying at, was built close to the ocean but a few miles away from civilization, it gives the privacy that no other hotel can offer. The artistic design of the hotel was made to impress. The facility is in a good shape. And the staff are well trained. All the money spent to build this one didn't go to waste. But he can't grasp the reason why Nate would built it in the middle of nowhere.
Walking around, he noticed there were only a few guest. Some are of famous names while others are of random citizens. Every one of them have this look of genuine happiness in their faces, it seems that this hotel really gives you that vibe.
"Mr. Blake, I've prepared all the necessary things you needed for your departure." From the sight of a family happily chatting, he laid his eyes to where the source of the voice was, there standing on his right was a smiling Jessica. Frowning from her words, he glanced at her waiting for an explanation. But to his disappointment the woman said, "Please extended your arms sir." Due to his brains inability to make a reasonable reason for her actions, he reached out his hands to her. Jessica dropped some keys to his open hands. Confused, he raised a questioning eyebrow at her.
"Those are the keys for your car and your place sir."
"Keys?" he repeated.
"Yes, keys sir."
"But why would you give me a key to a car and a key to a door of some place and prepare some things for my departure?" He questioned her in one breath.
"Orders from the boss, sir." She said. "I cannot answer any of your question Mr. Blake." She continued. "If you would be so kind, Please follow me outside." She asked.
He felt utterly stupid. Cutting him before he talks, not answering his questions and ordering him around, she was treating him like a child. It must be that Punk Nathan's orders. He and his brains needs some serious treatment.
Walking through the glass doors, he saw a red Audi parked outside. "So, where would I go from here?" He questioned trying to spark a conversation between them. After all, he can't hate her. She is just doing her job. But still he hates her boss right to his heart.
"We set the GPS to your destination, it will give you the direction if you follow it obediently you'll reach the town before sun down."
Sun down? Judging the situation from her statement, it would take him half a day to reach his destination. It must too far. With the keys in his hands only means there is no designated driver this time. It also means no time for rest. Which leads to the conclusion of him driving for long hours to a place he doesn't know relying only to his cars GPS as his guide. Great! Now he thinks Nathan is just plain insane.
Annoyed, he took a few larger strides and reached the car doors. Opening it a little too forceful, before sliding in to the car's driver's seat. He looked through the mirror and saw a few bags at the backseat. It must be the "necessary things" Jessica told him about.
