Slowly moving her head to glare at her fallen cardboard cut out, Jackie contemplated closing the window. This had been happening all day, as the weather was so peculiar that it was too warm to have all her windows closed, yet strong gusts of winds kept knocking her things over.

The easiest solution she decided would be to open her curtain, as it was the wind pushing the curtain and the curtain pushing her cardboard cut out that was causing her so many issues. She got out of her bed in a huff and charged across her room, grabbing the curtain and yanking it open. The sun, despite the fact it was nowhere in sight and today, wasnt even a bright day, caused an actual headache to form and her vision to go blurry.

At this point, it would be evident to a normal person that they should get off their laptop and do something productive, perhaps like get dressed considering the fact that its 3o clock in the afternoon. Instead, Jackie opted to say a simple "Yeah no" and drew her curtain further across than before.

She trotted back to her bed, rubbing her eyes as she let the darkness consume her again. She knew this was not a healthy lifestyle,  yet Jackie continued to scroll through her memes until she heard the slow sliding of cardboard against her floor. Instead of looking over straight away, Jackie's fingers froze on top of the keyboard and her eyes filled with aggitation as she slowly pushed her device of her lap.

She looked across to see her curtain still bloated out, and her cardboard cut out face planting the floor. Standing up she simply picked up the cardboard cut out and moved it into a random place on the floor where the curtain would not reach and returned to her bed. "You know," stated Jackies pet rock. " You can always just get rid of it, inanimate objects with faces have always creeped me out." Jackie once again stopped what she was doing to throw the most bemused look at her pet rock. It was around the size of her hand, and two years ago she had drawn on a creepy face with a permanent marker.

"Is that so Bock?" She asked amused. Bock didn't reply, he just grew sharp long teeth and started chomping on Jackies left foot. She just sat there frowning as the blood soaked her sheets and her flesh was ripped off her bones, her skin and muscle torn and jagged as it was slurped into his mouth.

There was a knock on the door, and Jackie's head whipped around to face her mom who had just entered the room. She had beautiful curled blonde hair, sparkling blue eyes and a perfect pastel yellow knee length dress with a ruffled white apron. Her eyelashes were long, and her lips ruby red. Her skin was fair and she had long lustrous legs and large breasts. Her finger nails were expensively painted, yet not long, so they didn't get in the way of her housework and cooking. She had gorgeous black heels, as well as pearl earrings, bracelets, and a necklace.

"I've got some washing for you sweetheart." Her mother said as she walked around. " Goodness Jackie," She asked with a perplexed expression on her face. "Why on earth is your creepy cardboard thing in the middle of the room! And the curtains closed! Let's get some light in here." Her mother placed her washing on her bed and Jackie ignored what her mother was doing as she looked at her disfigured foot, her rock still loudly munching away, but its tongue licking her muscles greedily instead of taking full chunks of flesh now.

A single tear slid down Jackie's face, but she said nothing. Her mother walked out the room humming somewhere over the rainbow, her arms full of Jackie's dirty washing. The door closed on its own behind her.  A boy climbed in through the window of Jackie's room and stabbed a knife into the rock. Blood poured out of it as it let out an ear piercing strangled scream.

"You shouldn't play around with those things you know." He stated in a high pitched voice. He wore a gray ripped t-shirt, black leather jacket, and skinny jeans with boots. "Tha-" Before Jackie had time to finish her thank you,  he had already opened her bedroom door and ran away. She stood up quickly, paused to see her foot was fine, before shrugging it off and running after him. However, instead of being greeted in her hallway, she was in a school, in her pajamas.

"What on earth do you think you are wearing!" Boomed a voice, from above her. A tall, slender woman stood behind her, in the space where her door had been but was now the other half of this school corridor she had somehow arrived in. She was dressed most proper, apart from the flaps of green skin peeling off her body, and murky yellow drool sliding out the right side of her mouth and ears. "Let's get you into some proper uniform." She stated smiling, to show surprisingly perfect white teeth, as she grabbed Jackie's hand. Jackie could see this woman had literal holes in her yellow, decaying fingernails.

The women spoke nicely as she dragged her through the corridors. "Excuse me miss." Jackie began and the woman didn't even glance behind her. "Where exactly are we going?" She asked and the woman laughed. "While that my dear, you will find out in the next chapter." Jackie furrowed her eyebrows. "You what?"
