Bethany Witmore
"Delaney, are you coming over to our hotel?" Gabriel asked, looking up at Delaney with those pretty blue-gray eyes. We were in the parking garage.
"Not this time, Gabe." He nodded, rubbing his nose. "But, next time for sure, okay?" She took a knee in front of Gabriel, and he gave her a hug. Gabriel was such a loving person.
We walked to our car, a black 2014 Ford Escape, and I put Gabe in, strapping him up in his car seat. Most six year olds hate car seats, but Gabe seemed to prefer them. He said they were comfy for him, and made him sleepy.
I said my goodbyes to Delaney and went to the driver's side, sighing as I slid in. I put the key in the ignition, but before I could start the car I heard Gabriel's small voice. "Anny?"
"Yes, Gabe?" I called, looking at him in the rear-view mirror.
"The man who gave me a Rockership Ride wanted me to tell you that he's coming over for dinner and he's bringing friends." He said, smiling.
I was frozen. My heart beat sped up and I became extremely scared. I thought back to the brief encounter, remembering every little detail like the back of my hand. His name was Levi, he had a Southern accent, and he was about six feet tall. I pulled out of the parking space, driving straight to the hotel.
"Anny, I am so sleepy." Gabe said, rubbing his eyes as I helped him into his Beyblade pajamas. I messed his hair, and knelt down in front of him. I rested my hands on his shoulders.
"I know, but did you have fun this evening?" Gabe's tired blue eyes blinked slowly.
"Mhm." He said, nodding his head as he rubbed at his eyes again. I wrapped my arms around his small body, pulling him close. He hugged me back, resting his head on my shoulder. "Can I go to bed now?" He asked, and I giggled. I picked him up, carrying him to his bed and laying him there. It was queen sized, so he had more than enough room to sleep as wild as he wanted. Gabe sunk into the deep cushion of the mattress, falling asleep almost instantly. I smiled, rubbing his warm face and switching off the lamp by his bed. I left his room, closing the door as I did so.
I walked into my room and peeled off my leggings. I lifted my crop top from over my head. Then, I walked into the bathroom, switching on the shower. I was so glad to be staying in such a nice hotel, everything was so nice. That was jusy one of the perks of being well-off.
I removed the rest of my clothing, setting out a towel. Then, I stepped into the shower letting the hot water pulsate over me. I slicked my hair down with my hands, grabbing my shampoo from the side panel. I massaged it into my hair, lathering it. It smelled of . As I rinsed my hair, I heard the sound of something dropping on to the ground outside the bathroom door. I stiffened, stepping out of the water quickly and wrapping my towel around my body.
I'm not the stupid blonde in the horror movies and so I grabbed the railing from the towel rack. I unscrewed the long, metal pipe and waked towards the door. I grabbed the doorknob carefully, stepping out and into my bedroom. Nothing looked disturbed. I stalked into the living room, ready to attack anyone.
As I entered, it was extremely dark. Then, I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around me.
Before they could tighten, I spun around and hit the culprit across the face. I could feel the impact vibrate down the pipe I was holding.
"You little bitch!" He shouted, and his voice held a Southern twang. That was all the assurance I needed that it was time to dip.
He stumbled back, holding his face and I saw it was none other than Levi. I ran towards Gabe's room. When I got inside, I realized Gabe was no longer sound asleep underneath his covers. I screamed, just as the arms wrapped around me again.
