You choose to go to Kat's party. You get in your car at the end of the day and go home to get ready for the party. "Hey Adds, how was your first day," you jump when you hear your dad's voice from the kitchen.

"It was actually pretty good," you say, taking a seat in front of him.

"Meet any new people?"

"Yeah, I met these girls and they invited me to a back to school party. I do plan on going, I swear I'll be home before ten," you say quickly.

Your dad gives you a skeptical look, "fine, you can go, but keep your promise of being back before ten."

You scream with excitement, "thank you dad," you give him a quick hug and run up to your room to get ready for the party.

A few hours later you wave good-bye to your mom and dad and get in your car. You drive to the school parking lot and walk to the beach. "Hey Addie," you turn to see Kat in a bikini and a beer in hand.

"Hey," you say back awkwardly, you walk over to her side.

"Well howdy there Addie, you know, I really didn't expect an innocent country girl like you to show up to a party like this, ya' hear," the girl from lunch says.

"I meant to say this earlier," Kat starts, "but this is Ember, she's kind of, how do you put it... rude."

You nod your head, "I think I've figured that out," you run a hand through your hair and then turn towards Ember. "You know, just because I'm from Texas doesn't mean I talk like that, obviously."

"Is the little country girl getting mad," Ember taunts you.

"Ember, leave her alone," you hear a deep voice say from behind you. You turn around and see a tall, muscular guy standing behind you. Ember shoots you an annoyed glare before walking off with Kat and her other friends.

"Thanks," you say shyly, "I'm Addie."

"I know who you are," you give him a confused look. "Oh please, you waltz into school on your first day, and it just so happens that you hit it off with the most popular girls in school. News travels quickly in this school, everyone knows who you are and every guy wants to be with the new, innocent cowgirl," he explains to you.

"Well," you say, "I'm not a cowgirl. What's your name?"

"Brett, I'm captain of the football team. Where are your parents from?"

"Why?"

"Usually the people from Texas have heavy country accents."

"My parents are from New York, they moved to Texas so that my dad could work and so that they didn't have to raise a kid in New York."

"Why don't you have a New York accent?"

You get fed up and walk from Brett. Kat hollers at you, motioning you to hop in the water, but you forgot to bring a swimsuit.

If you go in the water in your bra and underwear, go to Chapter 12

If you choose to sit in the sand silently, go to Chapter 13
