Chapter 9

You choose to stay home with your parents. "Are you sure you don't want to go to that party," your dad asks you, "it might be a good way to make some friends."

You laugh, "yes Dad, I'm sure." He leaves your room and you continue reading your book.

The next day, you sit with Kat and the others, "well​ if it isn't little miss innocent cowgirl," the rude girl says in a country accent as you sit down with your tray.

"I meant to tell you this yesterday, but don't mind Ember, she's kind of, you know," Kat whispers to you.

You glare at Ember, eating your cheeseburger. You carry on with your senior year, hanging out with Kat, meaning that you also hang out with Ember. Ember continues to taunt you all year round and doesn't give you a break, making your senior year slightly miserable, but slightly fun.
