After calming down as much as we could, we turned on the news again. It was repeating the same thing. Mom was pacing the living room, dad was calling his friends from work, seeing their situation and trying to get info about what the hell is going on. Cameron was still knocked out and tied up. Desire and Tiffany were crying while hugging each other. Aunt Mary was asleep on the couch. Me and bell we on the opposite couch away from everyone else.

Not that I'm freaking out or anything...okay, I'm totally freaking out!

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?

I go upstairs into my room and change out of my pj's. The cold, crisp air is making me shiver with my pajama shorts and silk tank top on. I put on some blue skinny jeans and plain black t-shirt on. I slip on my black converse and a sweatshirt since my arms still have goosebumps. I love this sweatshirt, it says "Sarcastic? Me? Never. "

I go back downstairs on the couch and cuddle up next to bell. Suddenly, aunt Mary opens her eyes. She just sits there, staring at the ceiling for a few minutes, before I hear a gargling sound leave her mouth. Mom stops pacing and looks at Mary with a confused face.

"Mary, are you alright?" Concern lacing her tone. On the other hand, Mary looks sickly pale. Her head snaps to mom and snarls at her. Saliva is dripping from her chin. If you look close enough her eyes are reddish tint added in with her normal blue.

Mom jumps back in surprise and Mary leaped toward mom and straddled her trying to claw to her face. Mom held her hands up in defense. Dad threw the phone down and ran to help mom. Trying to yank Mary off mom. Bodily fluids. Victims dangerous. The combination of words kept swimming around in my head. Cameron was scratched, Mary was bit. They have the virus. The virus really is deadly. With dad still attempting to shove Mary off of mom, I run to the kitchen. I have seen enough zombie movies to know that we need to get out of here. I didn't think any of this would actually happen though. I grab a big back pack and shove a variety of food in there. Can foods, bread, apples, boxes of food. I grab big baggies and shove a bunch of dog food in there. I put around 8 water bottles in the bag. I can hear the window break in the living room, while everyone is screaming for Mary to stop. Bellamy got so scared he ran up to my room and probably under the bed.

I run upstairs and grab me, mom, desi, tiff, and dad an outfit. I grab some medical supplies and stuff it into the bag. By now, the bag is full. I run downstairs and grab everyone's shoes and put them by the couch. They will need them. Dad has Mary against the wall trying to contain her while mom is crying and Tiffany is screaming. Desire is watching me curiosly. I tip my head towards the shoes and she understands what I'm saying. She grabs the shoes and gives everyone their pair to put in and holds onto dads pair since he's a little busy right now. Everyone is confused to why they are putting shoes on but they don't put up a argument.

I go into the kitchen and get desire and Tiffany both a knife. I give it to them and their eyes go wide in horror. Oh god, they are being so slow right now. I run upstairs and get dads gun and ammo, mom also has a gun. I go downstairs and hand mom both the guns and ammo.

"What the hell are you doing?" Mom yells at me.

"We need to get out of here, this is the virus the news was telling everyone about. They said its deadly, and now we know why. The virus spreads through bodily fluids." I inform mother. Realization spreads across her face as she listens intently to my words. Last but not least, I run upstairs and dig into my closet, getting out a medal bat. Thank you teen wolf.

I hear screaming and banging on the door downstairs. I go to see what happened. Dad had killed Mary with the knife I gave desire. Blood spilled out of the side of her head where the knife was loged in. Mom was crying. But she also had a look on her face that held pure terror. But it wasn't because of dad. The infected were starting to surround our house. Arms were pulling at the glass in the window, while some banged on the door.

"Go hide, I'll hold them off. " dad yells over the noise, but mom shook her head.

"I'm not leaving you! " she yelled back while dad silently shook his head and kissed her forehead. Everyone knows how stubborn mom is. If she says she ain't doing something, then she ain't doing it. Dad held the door closed while mom went to a vacant peace of wood to put over the window.

I didn't know what to do. I couldn't leave them. Their my parents, I would do anything for them.

"I'm not leaving you! I can't! I won't! " I yelled to them . They both had tears in their eyes. Mom and dad shared a look. Oh no..I don't like that look. Mom pulled me close to her and whispered in my ear,

"Please, Lauran. You have to go. You need to take the other two and hide. You're smart, you don't act on impulse. It also helps that you've been waiting for the zombie apocalypse for forever. If me and your dad don't make it, their going to need you." She whispered so lowlights a slight smile, trying to cheer me up, I barley caught it. She pulled back and wiped the stray tears that rolled down my cheeks. I knew she was right. Desire may be older but she panics in a crisis. She will freak out and loose her cool.

"I love you." My voice cracks as I take desire and Tiffany but the arms and pull them upstairs . Their both sobbing and not really cooperating, which is making it very difficult. I push them into my room and into the closet.

"Stop crying. Now listen to me, I need you to be very quiet okay? I'm going to close these doors and you cannot make a sound. If you want to live, you'll listen to me. Desire, it's the freaking zombie apocalypse. I know it sounds stupid but just trust me this once okay? Nod if you understand." I whisper to them. They both look confused but nodded. I opened the back pack and found bell under my bed, as I predicted. I  kissed his forehead and put him in the closet with desire and Tiffany as I whispered 'I love you'.

"What are you doing?" Desire asked quietly but I ignored her. There was no easy way to do this. I gave them the back pack and closed the doors. I ignored their questions through the doors and told them I loved them and to be quiet. The last thing I said to them was to take care of bell for me. They will survive, I know it. They have too. I pray that desire thinks and is careful if I don't make it back. I grasped my medal bat.

I tip toed down the stairs with the bat in my hands in swinging position. There was no way, I would leave my parents.
