Chapter 6 - I Need You

Emma, Lewis and Rikki walked back over to me and Bella.

'I forgot to ask, what happened to your head?' asked Emma.

'I don't know, all I remember is falling into the ocean and then waking up on the sand' I replied.

'She was trying to stand up and she slipped' said Rikki. 'She hit her head on a rock as soon as I saw she was hurt I jumped in the water and pulled her out' she added.

I think I smiled when I heard Rikki say this.

'I called Lewis' added Bella.

'I was in the middle of a test at school when I heard' said Lewis. 'I was so worried I dropped everthing and ran' he added.

I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around him. He did the same. I remembered what I saw at the jewellery store and pulled away.

I began to walk along the beach shore but not too close to the water.

'So, Cleo, how is things back home?' asked Emma.

'Everything is great, Kim is still really annoying though' I answered. ' And how was your trip around the world? I asked.

'It was really fun. I wish I was able to go in the water though' she replied.

'Zane threatened Rikki that if she wouldn't take him back he would tell people our secret' I added.

'Did he tell anyone?' Emma asked, sounding worried.

'Yes, he told this girl called Sophie and she told the news reporter about us' I said. 'That's why we are here in America'

'What?' Emma yelled.

'I'm kidding Emma' I laughed. 'Remember I already told you why we are her, for Lewis'.

Emma punched my arm.

'She's injured enough' said Lewis.

'Oh sorry about that, Cleo, you scared me' she said to me.

'It's fine' I said.

I continued to walk along the beach.

Lewis grabbed my arm. I tried to pull away.

'Cleo, wait' he said. 'I need to tell you something'

'What do you need to tell me' I asked.

'I need to tell you that I'm sorry I was with Rikki. I was with her for a reason. I needed her help' He said.

'I rolled my eyes at him and walked away.

'Cleo the point is, I love you. You mean the world to me and I need you.' he said.

I turned around and crossed my arms.

'I can't live without you Cleo' he said.

Lewis put his hand in is pocket and pulled out a small black box and opened it. He knelt to the ground.

'Cleo Sertori, will you marry me?' he asked.

I ran over to im crying.

'Yes. Of course I'll marry you Lewis' I replied. Now I know why he needed Rikki's help I was so happy.

Lewis put the ring on my finger. It was the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. It was a diamond rose shaped ring. I hugged Lewis and began to cry. Lewis cried as well.
