Chapter 7 - Trouble

I took my phone out of my pocket. I realised it was broken from being wet. Rikki handed me her phone and I hugged her. I called my dad I had to tell him the news.

'Hi dad' I said.

'Hello sweetheart, why are you not using your phone?' he asked

'I dropped it and it broke anyway I have great news to tell you' I said happily.

'Yes, what is it?' he asked.

'Well erm me and Lewis are engaged' I replied.

'What?' he said, I couldn't tell if he was happy or angry.

'Dad, is everything alright? I asked him.

'Cleo's engaged' I heard him shout to Sam and Kim. He sounded happy.

I smiled and put down the phone.

'My dad is happy' I told Lewis with a big smile.

Lewis lifted me up and kissed me. Everything was going great.

Emma, Rikki and Bella walked over to us. They all looked really happy.

Rikki squinted her eyes.

'Who's that? she said pointing to a girl. 'I recognise her' she added.

'Dr. Denmon' answered Lewis. He was shocked.

Someone was with her. A younger red head. It looked like Charlotte Watsford. It couldn't be. She waved at me. How did she know me. It was Charlotte.

'We need to go' I said to Lewis and the girls.

'Why? asked Bella.

'Charlotte' I said 'Charlotte is here, she's with Dr. Denmon'.

'So, what about her?' asked Bella.

'She hates Cleo' said Lewis. 'Charlotte used to go out with me but I broke up with because she was bullying Cleo' he added.

'Yeah so? said Bella.

'Ske knows that we're mermaids' I said. 'She will tell Dr. Denmon' I added.

'Come on' Lewis said as he grabbed my hand. We all began to walk away.

I looked back and Charlotte gave me a smirk.

'Oh no' I said as Dr. Denmon chased after us.
